Still, Biden has become the POTUS despite obvious dents in perception of him.
Perception matters but it's not everything. Luckily.

I'll agree with that. It's just a saying rather than an established fact. However if people think Biden is going senile and that becomes more apparent to them perception wise as time goes on, I think it will have an impact.

What about all the people on the spectrum who are financially successful capitalists?

We do not like Trump either.  No one who favors equality in racial, gender, and disability education, employment, housing, and medical care should also be a fan of Trump -- a national embarrassment whose lies have become well-known in every corner of the world.

When it comes right down to it.....Trump would put us disabled folks under the bus. Because we are not useful to him.

Trump is all about who is useful to him RIGHT NOW. Pence was useful to him----until Pence told him he couldn't overturn the election results on January 6th. Now, he hates Pence's guts.

Similar to Putin, all Trump wants is to wield power, come heck or high water. He doesn't care how many people are killed in the process.

Trump and Putin are good buddies----they deserve each other.

He didn't say Trump, he said right-wing. There's a whole world outside of Trump you know. Many financially successful right-wing people view it more as big government gouging them while pretending all their money is going towards social services. And of course the left-wing excuse for why most of it doesn't, is because the right-wing wing is preventing it from happening.

Even though I'm an independent, I lament how Trump has taken over most "Republicanism." Before Trump, the Republicans, at least, sought to maintain our Constitution.

Any time anybody speaks up against his schemes, that person is called schoolyard names by Trump, and is labeled a RINO.

I respectfully disagree. People diagnosed as being on the AS are often angry at their lot in life. They aren't poster children with heartwarming stories. They are the ideal audience for the far-right narrative. I see that on this site all the time.

are you saying too many of us on the spectrum are that gullible to believe those people will help us in any way?

It's more like, you may have a university degree but I have a gun, as is my constitional right, and I don't trust liberals to uphold that right but I trust Mr. Trump to. And yes those people don't expect to benefit from any Govt. programs, don't believe they ever have.

Trump is afforded way more power than he has by those who are afraid he's going to come into power again.

If Trumpy was no more, the right wing would collapse like one of his business deals.

So even though he holds no political office of any kind whatsoever, he's in control of the entire republican party. While I'm sure that's what he believes, I find it quite hard to swallow. Anyone have a bag of salt?

Actually, I think if Trump is no more, the right wing has a chance to become a bit more reasonable.

As far as I'm concerned he is no more. No more than just a personality like he was before that complete fluke put him in the white house.

I based my 'prediction' on a best guess derived from previous experiences with smaller groups run by despots.

It did not matter if the despots died, went to prison, or were forcibly deposed; soon after the despot was gone, the groups collapsed from internal conflicts, and eventually re-formed as two or more similar groups run by other despots.

Most of these groups has religious roots, but some were simply personality cults -- just like Trump's MAGAs.
