She taking a test by herself doesnt do anything. Either her own parents, or Maddie's parents, or both sets of parents, also have to take a DNA test. Did Maddie's parents already go public with their DNA?
My guess is, if this goes ahead it will be done in privacy. The Mcann's are highly private people due to all the exposure and bad press they got for being "bad parents" and recriminations.
