MmeLePen - I do understand where you're coming from and your veiws make sense. I also don't think that he should get off scott free because he had a hard life or something like that. I'm just not entirely sure he is a pedophile personally. But ah well.

That's really weird. Don't you ever wonder what celebrities can get away with just because they are famous...or is it just the same for them as it is for everyone else? The strange thing about it is, WHY would a famous person with lots of $$$$$ and what looks like a decent life WANT to get punished? If he was going to keep pushing until he got punished knowing it would eventually happen. If I had all that money I would be doing better things.

Maybe, in his case - since he was "robbed" of a normal childhood - it gives him a perverse thrill to take it away other little boys.

I also can't imagine he has a lot of freedom or control - even with all the money. So, he must love the sense of control he has over these scared, vulnerable (drunk) little boys.

I wouldn't be judgmental if he was into kinky sex between consenting adults. I could even close my eyes to beastiality but little kids?

He's a danger to society in the most reprehensible way. Even in prison, child molesters (or killers) are at the very bottom of the food chain.

Well, he definitely is a weird dude and he can get away with it too because he has all that money and is a celebrity.
I think he probably has more freedom and control than you think. He has money and fans and knows powerful people so he is corrupt. Many others in his position are the same way.
Being rich and popular doesn't always mean good character. Most of the time, it's the opposite.

Well he had his day in court. And its hard to tell what the truth is with such extreme storries one way or the other. I think if he puts on some great shows, a lot of other stuff might be forgotten.

Let's just leave it at this. I respect everyone else's right to enjoy whatever music they like - no matter what kind of sleazeball the artist. I won't judge you or any other Michael Jackson fans. I may laugh at you, but I won't judge you.

I still love The Who and solo Pete Townsend stuff even though he had all that child porn. (Research-yeah - right.) Then again, possessing child porn is still not the same as actual child abuse. Its a different crime. Its a sign of and leads to physical sexual child abuse - in certain really sick people - not everyone. I don't think Pete really has the time or stupidity to actually do it.

But I never was a big Michael Jackson fan to begin with. I went the rock/new wave/punk route. Long before he got all pervy - I couldn't stand his music and the dancing. Thats the aspie thing, I guess. I can't understand dancing singers. What's with the dancing? Like Beat It or Thriller? WTF? Why are there all these people and zombies dancing? Why are guys dancing with guys? I don't know - he was already too weird for me by the time Thriller came out. The music is nowhere near the stuff I listened to. I just don't like pop. Its too much on the senses and then he has all these really corny crazy sugary lyrics and melodies.

Then the rumor wand allegations started, the plastic surgery, the wierd stuff with his OWN kids. So, you could say its my hatred of his crappy music that allows me to focus on the negative and believe, in my heart, he's a child molester.

But if you like his music and the moonwalk, that's totally cool and I can understand why you can overlook his "flaws" and "quirks".

Oh, and love Stone Temple Pilots and Scott Weiland is a total f-ing loser of a different breed.

The music industry itself is pretty sleazy. Has it's share of drug pushers and pedophiles and anything else you can think of, including assaults and murders, not to mention suicides. It's pretty corrupt.

I find his videos very entertaining. If you go to shows, you'll see guys dancing with guys. Well they were zombies dancing in the thriller video, I think there were women zombies too. And Beat It was about 2 rival gangs, they actually used 2 real gangs for the video, and a fight broke out.

I wouldn't say his music is controversial...just his personal life. His music is bubble gum pop and he came up with some trendy dance moves. Starting Something was okay.

Of course not! :D I actually enjoy debating different sides of an issue (as long as there are no unnecessary insults) so no reason for hard feelings on my end :)
I'm not necessarily pro-jackson anyway. I just try to keep an open mind.
But yes, the guy obviously has some screws loose.

Me, too. I scare people sometimes with my passion - but it's good clean fun. It's when I DON'T say anything that I'm actually pissed off for real.

It's my aspie curse - I don't understand musicals and that whole world. I like dancing but not to watch - except Flamenco, the Tango, and Hula.

I just can't enjoy it because my logical aspie mind is racing.

As far as live shows - its just so weird for them to dance and there's a good chance they're lipsynching. And in none of the music I listen to - can the band members dance. Chris Martin and Bono like to sway around but its not choreographed.

I realize I'm weird. Trust me. It's really been a curse. Like when I have to go to a Cirque de Soleil show for a corporate function. (Almost got kicked out of a Cirque show down in Biloxi, Mississippi for clowning around...pun intended.)
