hopefully she learned something positive and useful from this, and also i hope christian learned more tact.

I'm doubtful on the second count...Christian seems to have been "rewarded" for his actions, as far as I can tell, so the incident has probably re-inforced his belief that there was nothing wrong with his words or actions.

Yup,
I tend to agree.

The number 22 means ducks. Look closely at their shape as you are getting sleeeeepy.
You may use 22 in my stead, as needed.

Damn!
And all my life I was seeing swans! 8O
Now, aren't I a silly billy.

Central Park ‘Karen’ Amy Cooper reportedly tried to have her doorman fired

Quote:
Amy Cooper, the white dog-walker known as Central Park “Karen” for calling 911 on a black bird-watcher, once tried to get her doorman fired, according to a report.

Alison Faircloth, one of Cooper’s neighbors at her Upper West Side apartment, recalled finding Cooper “on the verge of tears” after a confrontation with the building’s doorman last winter, the New York Times reported.

The neighbor says Cooper told her the doorman had apparently cursed at her for no reason and she vowed to have him fired, the outlet reported.

But when Faircloth asked the doorman for his side of the story, he said Cooper had complained about a malfunctioning elevator, then hurled curses at him after forcing her way into a security booth, the outlet said.

Cooper had to be removed by a security guard, the doorman said, according to Faircloth.

“There’s always a narrative from her about someone who has done her wrong,” the neighbor told the outlet.

Management for the building declined comment to the Times.

Aside from the confrontation with the doorman, other neighbors knew Cooper to be “combative” with other dog walkers and staff at the building, the outlet reported.

“There was a sense of entitlement,” Marisol De Leon told the Times, adding Cooper would often walk her dog, Henry, without a leash and would become angry when told not to.

Maria Mead, who lives in a nearby building, told the outlet Cooper was “very devoted to her animals” but had a strange penchant for exclusively using a baby voice, even when speaking to other adults.

“The only thing I’ll tell you is she never spoke directly to a person. She always spoke through her dog, and in a baby voice,” Mead told the outlet.

“It was really bizarre.”

Well,
To simply accept this report at face value is a silly billy boo boo thing to do.
Yes, it is, Yes, it is, my little foo foo puppy dog.

If accurate,
This looks to be a case of someone with psychological issues.
If this is the case,
Won't the Amy haters feel so foolish in mentally gang-banging a person not responsible for her actions?
Probably not,
We are talking about most people lynching first,
And considering the evidence and possible circumstances later.

And those types of people rarely accept responsibility for letting their emotions and bigotry get the better of them.
Shades of Lindsay Chamberlain. 8O 8)

Lindy Chamberlain was eventually exonerated for the murder of baby Azaria. After all these years nobody can agree on what happened.

Amy Cooper is likely never going to get her 200K job back at Franklin Templton

Although good news for Amy is that she got her cocker spaniel back

Manhattan prosecutors charge Amy Cooper, infamous Central Park ‘Karen,’ for calling in bogus threat against Black birdwatcher

Quote:
The white woman who called the cops on a Black birdwatcher in Central Park for asking her to leash her dog faces criminal charges for calling in the fake threat.

Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance on Monday said his office had”initiated a prosecution of Amy Cooper for Falsely Reporting an Incident in the Third Degree. Our office will provide the public with additional information as the case proceeds,” he said in a statement.

“At this time I would like to encourage anyone who has been the target of false reporting to contact our Office. We are strongly committed to holding perpetrators of this conduct accountable.”

If convicted, she faces a maximum sentence of up to one year in jail.

I hope she leaves prison a better person than she enters it.

Thats getting interesting. Maybe Amy Cooper should file charges against Christian Cooper for "filing false report on filling false report", and then he can file new charges against her on "filing false report for filing false report for filing false report" and then she can file yet another set of charges against him on "filing false report for filing false report for filing false report for filing false report", etc.

She won’t get any jail time.

Depending on her previous record, she might get an “adjournment in contemplation of dismissal” and be asked to perform community service. If she complies, her case would be dismissed and sealed in 6 months after her last court appearance.

She called 911 and said "An African American man is threatening me".

He did threaten her, so how is it a "false report"?

It would be a cultural watershed for the US if she was charged.

Karens are now being put on notice.

Because his 'threat' wasn't and apparently nearly everyone understands this.

The office initiated the prosecution of the individual who filed the false report, not Christian Cooper. She made the report that turned out to be invalid and a malicious waste of resources, the office has an inherent interest in not having their resources wasted in that manner. At this point they may not even need any involvement from Mr. Cooper, even as a witness.
