Why Canada let this tin foil hatters go on like they did is beyond me. We've heard enough of the ant-vaxx, anti-mandates crap the last 2 years to last us several life times.
I applaud how Trudeau and Macron make it hard to be anti-vaxx. I wish we did the same here. What antivaxxers call "opinions" is what the rest of us call cognitive impairment and mental deficiency. Enough already.

Pretty much. But it's the Canadian way to be polite and let people say their bit - which they did, and then Trudeau (who I didn't vote for this time, btw) told 'em all that they've been heard but now it's time to go home. They don't want to listen, soooo, now cops have to clear the streets and pack holding cells.

Regardless, Trudeau is an absolute disgrace/embarrassment.
I don't see what Canadians see in that black face man.

Wow -- this whole thing is out of control now.

If a police horse was involved in an accident in the line of duty, it would be front page news.

Notwithstanding the woman dying.

Unbelievable.

Right wing media knowingly lies and it gets picked up like it's credible.

Fox News contributor Sara Carter has walked back her entirely fictitious claim about a woman dying after being trampled by a Canadian authority on horseback amid ongoing trucker-led protests.

Thanks Pepe.

I liked the video too. He makes good, clear points about what's happening, without taking side on the issue of mandates. I like his approach and agree with him about Trudeau. I lived through the FLQ Crisis of 1970 when our former Emergency War Measures Act was last invoked. A member of provincial government and a British diplomat had been kidnapped. It's going to be interesting to see how this plays out with the new "Emergencies Act" being implemented. The circumstances are so different. It's hard to follow the media and know exactly what's going on. I saw that story about someone being killed by a horse, and I believed it. It's sad that journalists could write such crap, but I'm not surprised either. Sensationalism happens on both sides of every political event.

I see both sides of this story, as usual, and I'm not really sure what to think at this point - although I will always support our democratic right to protest. Ultimately it's Trudeau's job to represent all Canadians, regardless of the issue or the circumstance. That's what he's elected and paid to do. I'd love the protests to end, but they need a resolution. It seems to be getting out of control and I'm afraid of how long this will last. Are police clearing the trucks or not? I hear different versions of the story every day.

Most journalists, from either side of the political divide, seem to have graduated from the University of Sewage.

BTW,
A quick rule of thumb in determining a journalist's integrity is whether or not they editorialise.
Journalists are meant to present unbiased facts, not be hyperpartisan sycophants and make opinion pieces for their masters.

Was journalistic integrity ever in existence?
I doubt there is much around today.
Much less than there was 50 years ago.
What happened to them?

My daughter went to Journalism school. ^

We saw first hand how they destroy writers and thinkers.

She quit. She couldn't stand the indoctrination.

(and the lack of accommodations for disabilities)
