FBI arrests college student for plotting mass casualty attack on Israeli consulate in NYC

Quote:
The FBI has arrested a suspect for a planned mass casualty terror attack against the Israeli consulate in New York City, the consulate said on Thursday.

The suspect, Abdullah Ezzeldin Taha Mohamed Hassan, an 18-year-old Egyptian national living in Falls Church, Virginia, instructed an FBI informant to carry out the attack, according to a criminal complaint filed on Monday. He was later confirmed by the Washington Post to be a freshman at George Mason University.

Hassan ran several social media accounts that supported ISIS, al-Qaeda and Hamas, and advocated for violence against Jews, the FBI said in the complaint filed in a federal court in Virginia.

Local police located Hassan after receiving a tip about one of Hassan’s accounts on X. An undercover FBI asset then connected with Hassan on social media and secure messaging apps.

Hassan allegedly instructed the informant on how to join ISIS and shared jihadist propaganda, including a video that advocated for killing Jews.

He encouraged the informant to carry out an attack, sending him instructions on how to create a “martyrdom video,” the complaint said.

The suspect sent the informant bomb-making instructions and told the informant, who said he was in New York, to target a building representing Jews, later settling on the Israeli consulate. The bomb-making instructions allegedly included the suggestion that packing the explosive with 30 mm aluminum ball bearings, for shrapnel, “will do the trick.”

Hassan told the informant how to surveil the consulate and how to escape to ISIS territory after the attack, and also suggested he could “lay havoc on them with an assault rifle” instead of a bomb. He also told the informant to livestream the attack so Hassan could give the footage to ISIS.

Hassan, who according to a court filing was arrested on December 17, is accused of crimes related to distributing information on explosives and weapons of mass destruction.

Israel’s Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism Minister slams pope for Vatican keffiyeh nativity display
Quote:
Amichai Chikli, Israel’s Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism Minister, has accused Pope Francis of perpetuating “dangerous blood libel” against Israel and distorting history in a strongly worded letter sent on Thursday.

Chikli’s criticism focused on two recent Vatican actions: the Pope’s comments suggesting that allegations of genocide in Gaza “should be carefully investigated” and a nativity display portraying Jesus wrapped in a keffiyeh, a symbol of Palestinian nationalism.

“Two weeks ago, you took part in a display that echoes the Palestinian narrative, portraying Jesus as a Palestinian Arab,” Chikli wrote. “Had this been a one-time matter, I would not have written. However, in a more severe expression, you recently insinuated that the State of Israel ‘might be’ committing genocide in Gaza.

He slammed the use of the term genocide, writing: “As a nation that lost six million of its sons and daughters in the Holocaust, we are especially sensitive to the trivialization of the term ‘genocide’—a trivialization that is dangerously close to Holocaust denial.”

A nativity scene featuring baby Jesus wrapped in a keffiyeh was unveiled in St. Peter’s Square as part of the Vatican's Christmas display more than a week ago, designed by Bethlehem artists Johny Andonia and Faten Nastas Mitwasi. Pope Francis, at the event, called for peace, condemning war and the arms industry, stating, “Enough with wars, enough of violence!” The artwork, “Nativity of Bethlehem 2024,” was created with olive wood, mother-of-pearl, and other materials, showcasing Palestinian symbolism. This display follows Pope Francis’ recent controversial comments suggesting that Israel’s actions in Gaza might constitute genocide.

’Rewriting history’
Chikli also condemned the nativity display as an example of historical distortion, linking it to broader efforts to undermine Jewish historical connections.

“It is a well-known fact that Jesus was born to a Jewish mother, lived as a Jew, and died as a Jew,” Chikli stated. “There is no other way to understand this decision than as a deliberate adoption of the Palestinian narrative.”

He emphasized Bethlehem’s significance in Jewish history, writing: “Bethlehem is the city where Rachel, our matriarch, died giving birth to Benjamin, and where David, son of Jesse, was born—the same David who became the King of Israel and made Jerusalem its capital.”

The minister refuted comparisons between Israel’s actions in Gaza and genocide, calling such accusations “a disgusting attempt to rewrite history.”

A plea for clarity
Chikli urged Pope Francis to clarify his position on what he called “the blood libel against the Jewish state.” He acknowledged the Pope’s previous efforts to strengthen Jewish-Christian ties, mainly through meetings with Jewish leaders and families of Israeli hostages.

“We know you are a close friend of the Jewish people,” Chikli wrote while stressing the importance of rejecting false allegations against Israel. “Your guidance, actions, and leadership have tremendous influence worldwide.”

Chikli also referenced the upcoming 60th anniversary of the Nostra Aetate Declaration, which marked a turning point in Jewish-Christian relations.

The letter concluded with a call for moral leadership. “Truth and God are one,” Chikli wrote. “We ask you to stand for the truth.”

Yes...yes.. the second above report is what I denounced in earlier posts here ..Israeli is trying to controll propagandize the Narrative of where Jesus was born...In a stupid effort to gain sympathy and support from the entire Christian world,, instead of realizing the condemnation they badly deserve, regarding their abuse of the Holy lands , to support their fabrications to the world ..( Jesus WAS A Palestinian, born in Palestine, regardless of what Israel wants us to believe.) It was part of a much larger world level Propaganda . Part of the reason they conquered the Lebanese City of Tyre, which was a absolute
offensive against the developed worlds reality of how mankind progressed in the MiddleEastern lands. Much of what was developed before any of Israel had even been thought of . From my understanding of Archeology . Then you consider
what ,Judiac faith believes, (the basis that holds Israel together) is the fact , that Jesus was merely a Phophet to them.
Not the son of anyones Gawd. And now the second report complains about another religion, improperly displaying
there own religious symbology ....There is a problem here the Israeli nation is attempting to export their own brand of bias ( hate) against another religion . Directly to the Pope? Do not know what the swiss guard that patrols the Vatican.
But I do not think it is appropriate for any Israeli or Person of Judiac faith to critique anyone else. And such person should be immediately removed from any Holy City . IMHO . People of Judiac faith around the world are suffering
on account of Israels actions . And am quite sure that no one else wants to suffer at Israels hands in the name of their supposed religion .......

Jesus was both Jewish and "Palestinian" (a person living in the region that the Romans called "Palestine"). Today's political distinction between "Israeli" and "Palestinian" did not exist back then.

Many of the ancestors of today's Palestinians were ancient Jews who converted to Christianity. So, today's Jews and today's Palestinians are both descendants of the people of ancient Judea/Palestine.

But, back then, the ancient Judeans/Palestinians lived under (Roman) occupation. In that regard, they had more in common with today's Palestinians than with today's Israeli Jews. To me, that is what the image of baby Jesus wrapped in a keffiyeh symbolizes.

For example, in the Christmas story, Mary and Joseph, who lived in Nazareth, had to travel all the way down to Bethlehem to register with the Roman authorities. As at least one Palestinian Christian pastor has explained, that was similar to today's West Bank Palestinians having to travel inconvenient distances to obtain their magnetic ID cards.

In any case, in the parable of the sheep and the goats, Jesus is said to have identified himself with the underdog in any given situation, saying, "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me," and "‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’"

The killing of inordinate numbers of Gaza civilians is not "blood libel"; it is well-documented fact. Hopefully the Pope will have the courage to say something like, "If you don't want to be accused of genocide, stop killing so many civilians already!"

Christians beoieve Jesus was the son of Gawd, any people of judaic faith, in order to convert would have to come to
grips with that belief. As I understand from my own Christian upbringing. No person of Judaic faith or Israeli national had any ! business protesting against the Papal decisions .!. it feels extremely offensive to even have such a genocidal country as Israel to critique Papal expressins of religlous faith. As I understood it the Jewish claiming beliefs in such faith Were actually slaves to the Romans .. At no time in my years of upbringing did I have anyone confusing Judaic persons with Palestinians ..IMHO. but this is sidelining Syrias revolution and Israel arrempting to assume any part of Lebanon or SYRIA AS BEING PART of the Greater Israeli diasphora? ( spelling) encouraging Israeli settlors into Syria.
At tremedous risk to their lives for invafing a foriegn land that, they had a previously installed peace treaty zone.
That they have chosen to violate. At great cost to human life. The word insanity comes to mind.Regardless of what any Pastor has even said, to anyone. Religion has been the cause of a great many genocides since the recorded history of man has begin. imho.

Pro-Palestine activists occupy NY Public Library to protest Gaza 'Scholasticide'

Quote:
Pro-Palestine activists carried out a "study-in" protest in New York Public Library on Saturday "to demand an end to Scholasticide in Gaza."

The study-in protest was organized by CUNY4Palestine, alongside National Students for Justice in Palestine (NSJP) and Jews Voices for Peace New York (JVPNY).

"Today, in an autonomous action, activists in solidarity with Palestine took over the Rose Reading Room at the New York Public Library to demand an end to the destruction of education in Gaza and to the criminalization of solidarity activism," CUNY4Palestine announced on Instagram

The statement cited the damage to schools, the bombing of universities, and the killing of "10,000 children" in Gaza as the reasons for the protest.

One picture shows a computer with the slogan "Release all the hostages," featuring a picture of a Palestinian child.

"We gather today in one of New York's most iconic libraries to remind the world that all libraries in Gaza have been destroyed," said one of the protesters.

"Books in Gaza have become fuel as people burn them to survive. We are sickened that our tax dollars are funding this scholasticide."

Campus protest crackdowns
CUNY4Palestine added that another reason for the sit-in was the "repression" of the student movement in solidarity with Gaza.

The criminalization of campus protest is ongoing," it added, lamenting that eight NYU faculty and students have been declared "Personae Non-Grata" for "peacefully de-occupying" and rallying Bobst Library of NYU.

The groups that organized the Bobst protest - Shut it Down NYU and NYU Faculty and Staff for Justice in Palestine- said it was "incidental that all the faculty are Jewish."

The library they chose to occupy - NYU's largest - is named after his benefactor, Elmer Holmes Bobst, who is known to have been an antisemite. He once penned a letter to close friend President Richard Nixon in 1997, saying, “Jews have troubled the world from the very beginning. If this beloved country of ours ever falls apart, the blame rightly should be attributed to the malicious action of Jews in complete control of our communications."

^^^^^^[. SIGHES ^^^^^^ ....Seems one of the Prime goals of much of all National Media ,to spread the most """convincing""" governmental or international Propaganda. or affectations that support the narrative presented..
To indoctrinate youth , . Seems overall there appears to be a nig corporate element involved in programming minds of the Populations .. Think Marketing practices ..being used on people too young to understand any differently .
But obviously ,it is up to the individual, whether they are able to see beyond marketing ..? 8O

Palestinian Museum looks to open new branch in ex-Israel embassy in Dublin

Could Israel’s shuttered embassy in Dublin become a gallery for Palestinian art?

Ironic that the same people who are quick to label everything antisemitic are also very fond of antihibernianism.

Pro-Palestinian students sue University of Michigan over protest crackdown

Quote:
Current and former University of Michigan students have filed a lawsuit against the school alleging that it targeted and disproportionately disciplined pro-Palestinian students involved in campus protests.

The federal lawsuit filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan accuses the school of violating the students’ constitutional rights to free speech, due process and equal protection under the law. It names the university’s Board of Regents, president and vice president of student life as defendants.

The University of Michigan allegedly targeted students and student groups for disciplinary proceedings, issued trespass notices that kept them from attending classes, terminated students from campus jobs and blacklisted them from future employment, according to the lawsuit.

“No such measures are known to have been taken at any time during the previous half century by the University against students engaging in speech and other expressive activities on other important political and human rights issues,” the lawsuit said.

One such protest action included in the University of Michigan suit was a sit-in in the lobby of the president’s office in November 2023. The protest was broken up by police, with the suit alleging that over 10 different law enforcement departments were called in and 42 students were arrested.

Though the sit-in was a peaceful protest, the suit says, several students were injured as a result of police intervention. Zaynab Elkolaly, one of the plaintiffs, was allegedly thrown to the ground by by a University of Michigan police officer and had her hijab ripped off.

Students who were at the protest were alerted in May, months later, that a complaint was filed against them for alleged violations of the students rights and responsibilities code.

The suit alleges there were several issues with the conflict resolution process that violated the school’s own written policies, including that the University of Michigan cannot be its own party in the process.

A student-led panel found that none of the students were responsible for the violations and that the the person who brought the complaint failed to establish that the protest disrupted university activity or that the students failed to leave when asked.

But the student panel decision was personally overturned by the school’s vice president of student life, the suit said.

The school official allegedly shifted the burden of proof to the accused students, the suit said, which “retroactively established an entirely different standard after the hearing had concluded and the time for the introduction of evidence had passed.”

The lawsuit also alleges that a complaint against its chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine was filed by someone who was hired on behalf of the university to bring a complaint against students regarding a “die-in” protest.

It’s believed that the University of Michigan “only ever initiated a complaint against students or student organizations when they hold views in support of divestment to stop a genocide against Palestinian people,” the suit said.

For second time in as many days, pope accuses Israel of ‘cruelty’ over Gaza strikes

Quote:
Pope Francis doubled down Sunday on his condemnation of Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip amid its war with Hamas, denouncing their “cruelty” for the second time in as many days after Israel accused him of “double standards.”

“And with pain, I think of Gaza, of so much cruelty, of the children being machine-gunned, of the bombings of schools and hospitals. What cruelty,” the pope said after his weekly Angelus prayer.

It was unclear which specific alleged incidents he was referring to. Israel has long said it only targets terrorists, and that Hamas hides among civilian populations to protect itself.

His latest comments come a day after the 88-year-old Argentine lamented an Israeli airstrike that medics said killed at least 25 Palestinians in Gaza, including seven children in one family. The IDF did not immediately comment on the airstrikes.

“Yesterday children were bombed. This is cruelty, this is not war,” the pope told members of the government of the Holy See.

Canada launches forum for combating antisemitism following synagogue, school attacks
Quote:
Following a series of high-profile attacks on Jewish institutions in Canada last week, the Canadian government said Friday it would create a National Forum on Combating Antisemitism, which will meet in Ottawa in February in response to “a troubling rise in antisemitic incidents, threats, and hate crimes.”

The announcement follows the firebombing of a synagogue in Montreal last Wednesday and a shooting at a Jewish elementary school in Toronto on Friday. While Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has condemned the incidents and others preceding them, many members of Canada’s 350,000-strong Jewish community feel that the government has not done enough to stem the rising tide of hatred.

Antisemitism has surged in Canada since Hamas launched the war with Israel on October 7, 2023, when it massacred some 1,200 people and kidnapped 251. Attacks on Jews and Jewish institutions in Canada have grown by 670 percent in the year since the attack, according to data from the Ministry of Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism. Jews were on the receiving end of 70% of religious hate crimes in the country, despite comprising only 1.4% of Canada’s population, the report noted.

The new forum will bring together federal, provincial, and municipal leadership, along with law enforcement and prosecutors, to discuss the growing public safety threat of antisemitism, the Canadian government said.

“Canada recognizes the urgent need for national leadership to ensure Jewish Canadians feel safe in their synagogues, schools, and communities,” the government said in a statement. “The Forum will identify opportunities for immediate and longer-term action, and strengthen ongoing initiatives.”

Responding to the announcement, the Center for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA) called the forum an “opportunity to drive urgently needed change,” but said that its value would only be determined by concrete results that come from it.

“The safety of our community is under attack—and so too are the values and way of life that define us as Canadians,” said Richard Marceau, CIJA’s vice president, External Affairs and General Counsel.

“In a matter of months, Canada has become a country in which masked thugs take over our streets to burn Canadian flags, salute Hitler, celebrate terrorists, and call for violence,” Marceau said. “The result? Hate crimes against Jewish Canadians have skyrocketed. Jewish schools and synagogues have been targeted for gunfire. And multiple Canadians have been arrested for plotting mass murders against Jews.”

Marceau called on the Canadian government to provide more resources and training to police and to enforce laws so that perpetrators of hate crimes are fully prosecuted. Additionally, “the glorification of terrorism must finally be made a criminal offense in this country,” he said.

So if Marceau actually wanted to stop glorifying Terrorism, He might pass Laws to close down the Israeli embassy there .
and abide by any UN rulings against War Criminals ...

These are some pretty intense utubes given the circumstances , I hope they do not get taken down ..due to pressures within the USA to support Genocidal actions by Israel...but I also hope there ,might be some justification for utubes like this one..?
