I don't disagree with anything you say, but one tampers with the will of the electorate at one's peril.

If you want these fuckwits out, you are going to have to convince a sufficient number of your fellow citizens: 1) that these people are, indeed, fuckwits; 2) that these fuckwits are dangerous; and 3) to get off their asses and head to a polling place.

Our economic collapse is being hastened by un-ending borrowing. It is time the U.S. learned to live within its means.

But we still do have to pay for what we've already spent. The tea party members in congress seem unable to grasp that fact.

The only reason the U.S. is still borrowing to begin with is because of unnecessary programs that our government has been creating that costs billions and billions of dollars to maintain, at least one of which as been classified since 2007, until this year and the only reason it's not anymore is because someone blew the whistle on it, who's to say that there aren't at least 10 more other classified programs that cost just as much? The american people aren't in control of what these officials do with what money, yet we're the ones who must suffor for their crap. 9 times out of 10 we don't even know what they're doing because they think they don't have to tell us anything. That's the heart of the problem, it's not our borrowing, it's how wasteful the government is with money that causes the borrowing. The problem is, the U.S. government is acting like a rogue element, and it's burned so many bridges that it's going to be next to impossible to recover as it is, and as long as these people remain in power, it'll only get worse, and the fingers will always point to everyone and everything else but them. Shutting down borrowing power would only cut off funding for the federal government, which in the end will only hurt americans further and it won't stop the government from wasting money even then, but instead of taking it from other countries, they'll take it from us, the people. Without federal funding, social security, and even certain health care (among other things) would go down the drain, that alone is enough to make thousands of people homeless and without medical coverage. And for people who depend on those in order to survive, what are they to do when their only means of survival is taken away from them? And where would that money go? The "War" on "Terror", PRISM and other such programs, development of spy equipment, the same places that the money is going to now, and god only knows how much is wasted by the government on such things. Nothing would change, except for the lack of money for those who actually need it.

I have a friend whose wife depends on a medication in order to survive, they have minimal income because of the economic state that my state (ohio) is in, and they can't afford this medication on their own, which costs in excess of $500/month. Her life was literally hinging on our government's willingness and ability to end this bullsh*t, because if they hadn't, they would've lost their insurrance, and she likely would have died.
I don't know about you, but when parts of our government conspire to cause events that could leave people literally dying of illness as a result, it kind of p*sses me off because that's not a situation that we should have to be put into because of stupidity and personal agenda from people who are supposed to have our well being at the heart of the issue, instead of their paychecks. And that's something else too, when the government shut down, a lot of people were left without pay and at the time no-one knew how long that was going to last, do you think that the people who caused that to happen went without pay during that time? Of course not, and even if they did, they at least have the money to survive such a thing for a at least a few months or more because they have government jobs.

My philosophy is: Don't blame the symptoms of the problem, blame the problem and find a solution that will end it.
