I just saw the opening, it was awesome introducing the athletes from each country and a large play about Russia's history and ending with the torch reaching it's destination.
The news about the proposal of thousands of stray dogs being killed for this is sad though.

Well, at least the U.S. won its first gold medal. It was in snowboarding.
