In order to arrest someone, they need proof of a crime having been committed. Tabloid worthy reporting of stuff as fact, when it's really suspicion and rumor, isn't proof. I'm far more concerned about that sort of thing. It's 1692 Salem Massachusetts all over again.

I'm not accusing your of plagiarism, you cited your source. But by saying that you found it funny and repeating it, you are endorsing the comment. I'm not sure what the disconnect is here: if you are trying to distance yourself from the comment, say so, if you want to defend the comment, do so. But this "I said it, I didn't" narrative is just ducking the issue that you started with your own thread.

I was amused by the statement as a whole. It's others who became unfathomably obsessed and distressed over two words in a ten word summery of someone they don't know and probably couldn't name a single movie he was in off the top of their head other than Apocalypse Now. And outside of Sheen and Brando, probably have no idea who else acted in it.

If you've watched the movie you'd know that it had a very well known cast,Harrison Ford,Duvall and Dennis Hopper,and others.Not to mention the classic scenes,the Flight of the Valykries,and the smell of napalm in the morning.
I certainly didn't become distressed or obsessed over it.As for other Sheen films,I think he was in Ghandi.It doesn't really matter,if you starred in one epic film you've done more than most.The rest might be awful,dosent matter.
I don't select films because of who stars in them,but for the subject matter.
You can have any political viewpoint you like and feel free to diss whoever you want for their beleifs.
But unless you've watched the film,then you really can't have an opinion on it.
JFYI,it was based on Jospeph Conrad's Heart of Darkness.

So anyways back on topic and personally ignoring any further off topic derailment posts (except for the amusing type like posted by ASPartOfMe), I was reading on several news sites that the Associated Press was able to get interviews from 330 out of 538 electors. They reported getting spammed with thousands of emails that ranged from begging to threats to change their vote for Trump. Some even reported being stalked and receiving death threats. Protests at state capitol buildings are expected today. So far it is known that only one elector from Texas has said he will be unfaithful.

^^ Yep----so far, I've read about protests in: Illinois, Texas, Pennsylvania, and downtown L.A.

Also, I read that, as of 1:44pm EST today, PE Trump has 144 votes, and Hillary has 59.

This has to be the first time in history that this process has been watched so intensely. It's like Nov 8th all over again. And soon probably certain people will be crying again and making more death threats etc. And more protests and or riots all day and throughout tonight.

Interesting thought----I don't think it will happen (for the same reason that they'd get in-trouble if they voted AGAINST him); but, I would LOVE that (because they would be showing they're not gonna be bullied by celebrities, for instance).
