Or saying that most of the right wing posters here are sociopathic child abusers.

I have a feeling he meant half of Hollywood figuratively, rather than literally. As in conveying that it's a significant actual problem. I don't quite get parents like you a cyberdad being so dismissive regarding child abuse. But maybe that's part of liberalism and why something like NAMBLA is trying to gain tolerance and acceptance through them.

Kraichgauer wrote:

I wasn't talking about trans. I was replying to you saying conservatives think gay men are child molesters. And said that adult with youth relationships, as they existed in ancient Greece, is a thing within gay male culture. I think there's more to this stuff than just it being right-winger phobia.

I am not dismissive of child sexual abuse. But I happen to know the right has a chubby for taking down Hollywood for the liberal politics and sympathy for racial and sexual minorities there, and that is what I am critical of.
And seriously, nobody is sympathetic to a group as disgusting as NAMBLA, except for pedophiles.
What evidence is there that gay adults are sexually interested in youths just because that was popular in ancient Greece? With the exception of gay pedophiles (and yes, there are such persons, as there are straight pedophiles), the notion that gay men commonly want to get with boys is the fevered imaginings of homophobic conservatives. What evidence is there really that gay adults want to reenact ancient Greek culture?

But obviously pedophilia is a problem in Hollywood as opposed to being non-existent. I don't know what evidence there is regarding adult + youth in gay male culture, but I believe I've heard similar to what Milo was saying. And I mean from from the gay side, not the conservative side. But just as long as the liberal leftist whatever don't decide that this is the next phase in tolerance evolution, then I'm not going to be overly concerned about it.

As we are a culture of sexual consent, and as children can not consent to sex, ergo, pedophilia will never become tolerated by mainstream America.
And sure, there is child sex abuse in Hollywood. But it's also common in institutional religion, and not just Catholicism. But you don't hear the right ranting and raving about organized religion being a hotbed of pedophilia. Therein lies the right's pretext for pedophilia in their obsession with damning the movie industry, with all it's liberalism and tolerance.

I would have to disagree with you. There are already countries where pedophilia is legal or widely accepted in them. I would agree that it is highly unlikely though. The thing about what becomes acceptable is the people of the past usually don't see it coming.

The only countries that I can think of where pedophilia is acceptable are places like India, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, where that sort of behavior has been traditionally accepted for literally thousands of years. But which first world industrial countries have accepted pedophilia as normal?

I never said industrial countries, I said countries. Cultures always change and predicting them in my opinion is impossible.

Does anyone else feel sorry for Milo?

If you abuse children you break them, Milo was abused and he is pretty broken.

I don't agree with him, I'm not sure he even agrees with himself, I don't think he means any harm though.

I don't feel hate or anger towards him even though some of his views expressed are vile, I feel compassion for him.

I saw the original quotes and didn't get disturbed by them. He was drunk. The show he was on is a place of making inappropriate jokes. The show regularly jokes about ethnic cleansing.

He's broken though.

Don't follow him, he is filled with hatred and poison and you will be tainted by it.

Imagine him as a ball of anger, only human, he's just working through it.
A lot of what he says is said only to shock, he is in the business of personality and he can be that figurehead, he isn't though, he is broken and in pain, keep that in mind when watching Milo.

I agree what is fighting for and I agree with what he is fighting against though. The show he was on this isn't that inappropriate for them. Pedophila is a regular joke on the show. One guy jokes about his girlfriend being an underage love slave. They joke about about mass genocide.

Which have zero cultural influence on America or the industrialized west.

I would disagree. Anytime people go from one country to another ideas spread. I think the likelihood of it happening is low though. I am saying the future is uncertain. Who knows in 200 years America could be a satanic theocracy. In the future third world countries could have more influence.

I was debating this with a friend who found him intriguing. This guy gave false range safety advice; "shoot back!" - in emotional appeals to a bunch of distraught and/or belligerently indignant people. Anybody who seriously thinks more bullets flying could be helpful can f**k right off.

Basically he advocated compounding mass shootings - particularly those with religious or homophobic motivation - with even more shooting. I'd wager 85% of those actually shouldering risk in addressing these situations don't need more guns around.

If you are saying what I think you are saying is that he is in favor of more guns as a solution to mass shootings.

Pretty much. It wasn't much of any more specific than saying if you want to go for a drink, you should account for having to shoot somebody.

I agre, but the show he was on you are supposed to be unhinged. I noticed a lot of the media didn't show the part that he was the 13 year old.

Not quite John. Goldhagen's thesis was that German society internalised about 1000 years of anti-semitism spawned by the catholic church's (somewhat warped) obsession with the Jews being responsible for Christ being crucified.

He rather brilliantly documents written and photographic evidence that German society evolved a particularly deep animosity toward Jewish people. This erupted in the early 30s with the because Jews had been largely responsible for Germany being an powerful economic power as well as the centre of science and the arts. The common German felt a tinge of envy at what they perceived as a foreign group reaping the rewards of Germany's prosperity.

When Germany was suffering during the great depression it was easy for the Nazis to use Jews as scapegoats because they already had a suitably indocrinated population ready to look for a scapegoat to blame for their own mess.

Sure, but luckily Norman Finkelstein tore his book to shreds in the "Holocaust Industry". I wouldn't expect you to read that though.

You miss the point, I'm not a zionist or supporter of zionism, the book simply supports fairly well established social psych research that you can make large numbers of civilians (insert Germans, Turks, Rwandans etc..) murder innocents as long a the population is well indocrinated over a period of time then simple manipulation techniques can be used.

I didn't take much for the Germans to eagerly accept Hitler's lies, their warped attitudes were already floating around in their noggins...much like Trump supporters
