We need shorter flag polls in this country. The top parts never get used anyway. I can't even remember the last time a saw an American flag flying at full staff.

Did you "hear" what you just said----how is that even CLOSE to being logical ("shorter flag polls")? LOL

It was a joke. But anyway, how is it logical to have tall flag polls, of which the top half is never used? When I was a kid, it was pretty rare to see flags flying at half staff. Just when president's died or something. Now I honestly can't remember the last time I saw a flag flying at full staff. There aren't very many flags where a live. So I don't see them a lot. But the last time I did see one, a couple of weeks ago, it was a half staff then. I don't know why. Maybe the hurricanes or something. It just seems pretty pointless these day.

Modifying a semi-auto can be difficult for the common man.

Yeah, I know----but, he might've been ex-military, or an enthusiast; or, if nothin' else, there's directions for it, on the net.

Technically speaking, full autos are not illegal to own (check local laws, in my area it's legal). But getting your hands on a legal one is rare and far between.

Yeah, Maryland's like that----they just have to be registered (we even have "open carry" WOO-HOO - but you can't have certain what they call "assault rifles" [semis] LOL)----I should've said "generally speaking", as alot of states still have them banned.

Please remember: the fact that the guy is a registered Democrat almost definitely has no bearing upon why the guy shot all these people. He, obviously, had severe psychological problems which goes beyond his apparent political affiliation. I guess we'll have to see what does transpire as far as the ISIS "connection" is concerned.

I agree: nobody should be posting photos of dead bodies here. Even if one has the "right" to do so, one should also use common sense.

The only thing that is a shock to me is that it doesn't happen a lot more often. Wait to you see what the copycats are going to do with this.

Do you have a link, to him being a Democrat? Everything I have read said he didn't have any political affiliation. Not that it makes a lot of difference anyway.

He's probably going-by the link that SH90 posted, of his girlfriend's EX's voting record, cuz he suffers, greatly, from poor reading comprehension.

They keep playin' the interview of the shooter's brother----I just saw it, again, and I'm trying to decide if his brother is lying, as one interpretation of his brother's body language, ALONE, could be that he's over-acting (meaning, putting-on, that he doesn't know anything); I would LIKE to believe that it's just because he's so dumbfounded (understandable), but.....

Well, if the past is prologue, we shall learn that he was attending one or more psychological clinicians and taking psychotropic medications for one reason or another (see also Mark David Chapman and the claims of Sirhan Sirhan). But, according to some, given the CIA's past with known murderers such as Ted "Unabomber" Kaczynski (who has admitted to much that the CIA didn't want him to disclose about its programs); many researchers of the CIA programs call people like Kaczynski "wind-up toys" who can be induced through hypnosis and drugs to do all sorts of things (think The Manchurian Candidate). The story of CIA employee Frank Olson ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Olson ) seems to confirm their concerns, at least shedding some light of the bizarre methods of the covert agencies.

Just saying....

Yea, I wish I could go back and edit it for clarification. At the time, when these names and info came up on the police scanners. They still thought they had multiple shooters. I didn't initially post anything about Stephen Paddock, because they didn't say for sure on the scanner and he's practically a ghost online... Can't find much, other then possible face matches with AntiFA (but not confirmed, pics are crappy).

This is interesting..... NBC just reported that the shooter's father had been in prison for robbing a bank in Phoenix, in the 60s (was arrested in Las Vegas); had also escaped from a prison in Texas, and was recaptured in Oregon, where he was running a Bingo parlor; was at one point, on the FBI's "10 Most Wanted" list; was listed as a Psychopath; they had NOT, ATT, found any record of a murder charge; is now deceased. So, one could argue, maybe, that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree (we, at least, maybe, know from where he got his "gambling bug").

They also said that they thought the shooter had expelled 400-500 rounds----and, that he probably, because of the accuracy, used a tripod.

Death-toll up to 60+.

With the amount injured and the way he was shooting. I would not be surprised if he fired more then 4-500 rounds. He wasn't really aiming with precision, but unloading on a very large crowded area of 22,000.

**Apparently some uninjured may have been counted with the injured as they rushed into the hospital to getaway from the scene. So the injured head count could be off... This happened with Pulse also.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, as well----being able to fire that fast/much, one doesn't need to aim, really, anymore than just pointing in the direction, but not at any particular person.

Where IS that Wascally Wabbit Waptor, anyway----I really would like to, also, hear what he has to say about this; also, maybe we'll be graced with Dox's return (if only momentarily, to put-in HIS two cents).

Lots of stuff like this appearing, sadly -- and this woman identifies herself as a teacher(!):
