Ah, yeah, diagnosis says I'm "very high functioning" - although, I personally don't think so since many others are capable of having intimate relationships. I can live and work, but relationship-wise I'm a severe newbie.

I suspect they want their immigrants to not have AS at all, unless perhaps they are very wealthy. "no chronic health problems" [one requirement for American emigrants] seems kinda open-ended.

Looking at law, that has do to with those with severe autism - needing medical care that could cost the government money. There was a major case in 2011, but now the law has been amended.

in a nutshell, what does that mean for those of us aspies that otherwise would meet the steep requirements?

Those of us who don't need special care, can immigrate easily if everything else checks out. However, our brethren who need special care are unable to.

To make things worse, AG Sessions established a “religious freedom task force”.

He needs to be diagnosed with schizophrenia

it will only be in the fullness of time that one may review trumps presidency.
so far, there seems to be 2 opposing factors to me.
1 is the fierce resistance and hatred of trump displayed by so many people around the world.
2 is the increasing prosperity of the USA due to his policies.

i will just wait and see whether any decision he makes is disastrous in effect.

he certainly is a person to challenge protocol. people in the street may be horrified at what he plans, but he is in a single player game.

we will see

I don't know about Trump, but this is what Pence and Sessions want:

1. The complete extermination of non-Christians
2. A Uganda-style "kill the gays" law
3. All non-procreational and outside-of-marriage sexual acts outlawed
4. Bring back Prohibition
5. Bring back segregation and slavery
6. Force women back into the kitchens
7. All TV shows except the 700 Club and state-run, pro-Pence/Sessions news, taken off the air.

Only to non-minorities: white/straight/cis/non-immigrant/Christians. Minorities are already feeling the very real and very obvious sting of the orange ogre.

New rule: Anybody whose vision of America is anything short of a giant hippie commune is a bigot, and is worse than a murderer, terrorist, and child molester put together.

Nothing against communes. But where things stand now, it’s becoming a very reasonable counterpoint to the Trump admin.
