Once again, I said "Because there's too many things both laughable and cringe worthy coming from both camps." There's nothing in that statement that indicates I'm talking about "the level of negativity towards each other". You're clearly setting up a false premise.

So, you never complained about the negativity or rather to go more extreme vilification of Trump and his supporters by the left?

My question above is based on a false premise, or assumption, and you've never shown concern in that?

I have commented on the idea of wholesale labeling and lynch mob mentality. I'm I actually worried about it? not really. slightly concerned? perhaps. Really it's about the negative light liberals have put themselves in in this manner, because it goes against what they originally espoused and displays a mentality they originally accused and condemned the right over having in statements like, if hillary loses the left will be sad, but if trump loses the right will be mad. The left sets itself as being at a higher standard than the right, therefore I'm going to be more critical of the good guys behaving badly, than I am of the bad guys behaving badly.

So, you went from saying you didn't talk about the negativity (or to use your words - vilification) that the left shows the right and now you're saying you are concerned about it.

You derailed this topic on the first page by complaining about it being about Trump as usual. I never would've called attention to it but ThoughtBeast isn't harming anyone so it kinda got caught on my radar.

My assumption is that part of the reason you don't like that the forum is filled with Trump topics is because most of them are of a vilifying nature (vilifying the right, being something that you have already showed yourself to be concerned about).

Now, all I'm asking for is evidence - a couple of links (hell, I'll be generous and say just one), if you're a centrist it shouldn't be much of a problem - that you don't have a bent and you called people on the right for vilifying the left as well.

Show me my premise is wrong and that you have called out Trump supporters. All I'm asking for is evidence, it shouldn't be that hard to come up with for someone that doesn't change their story.

I think this is important to bring attention to - if you didn’t go after ThoughtBeast I would have left you alone. ThoughtBeast’s special interest is the news and news about Trump and this is how he expresses it. He isn’t harming anyone and there was no reason to ridicule him or go after him for it. The only reason I can think of is wanting to vent your concern.

Actually had to look it up. I just thought it was a different term for high functioning or showed few signs (and yes, I know you aren't moderate to severe - if you are, I truly am a very poor judge).

Ezra is completely ridiculous in his critique of posts here.

1. "Flooding" is not posting 3-5 posts per day.

2. Just because posts relate somehow to Trump (and negatively) does not amount to spamming.

Each item has its own story to tell.

*Trump puts children in cages.

*Trump regime threatens to arrest Genocide Court judges.

*Trump nominates perp for Supreme Court

and so on. Each of these is an individual story. What Ezra is trying to do is to pull a con here. Practically everything I post here relates to the US in some way, so it could just as easily be claimed that I (or anyone else) is "flooding" the news with articles about the US. Sheer nonsense!

3. Ezra rarely (if ever) posts articles. Now, that's his right, of course. But it's disingenuous for Ezra to whine about all the articles allegedly being about one subject while declining to post articles of his own. They could be Trump articles, anti-Trump articles, articles about science, medicine, sports, culture &c. Whatever interests Ezra. But he doesn't post anything. Those who don't contribute have very limited cred when it comes to complaining about the articles posted by those who do, especially when they complain that articles that they artificially claim to be of a particular type predominate. If Ezra posted 3-5 articles per day (along with any other complainers) then it would be obvious that the news forum is not at all being "flooded" with articles about Trump.

4. This last part isn't about Ezra in particular. It's just interesting to note how the whining about posting of articles that show Trump in the bad light that he has generated for himself seems to accelerate whenever an election is approaching, like the midterms that arrive in about 5-1/2 weeks from now.

5. If any moderator is going to lock this thread, my guess is it will be because of Ezra's misconduct in making personal attacks on others over fictitious claims of flooding and spamming.
