I see it as a mixed problem, corporations are just as corrupt as the government, what drives a lot of the corruption in politics is corporations. It's more of a, damned if you do, damned if you don't type issue. They seriously need to find a way to get corporations hands out of politics, tricky thing to accomplish though, self interest is a huge motivator. It's funny how many people don't understand that wealthy people and corporations drive democrat policies also. So democrat voters think their team is 'for the people', the reality is just like the republican side, the democrat side also acts on corporate greed.
I personally think humanity is screwed, there is no way to turn things around, people are to greedy and corrupt for that to happen, either way you go. The rich will try to ensure they stay rich for generations to come, that includes the ones pushing socialism. Democrats, please take notice how extremely wealthy people try to push socialism, now take a second to think why a multi-millionaire would want to do that, i'll give you a hint, it's not because they want to give their money away. That's pretty easy to prove, they have the money to help people in a big way, they could seek to help the bad neighborhoods and definitely have the money to do it, so why aren't the doing it? Because they don't give a s**t about poor people either, socialism can help protect there status.
They could even pay their employees better, yet they don't, they horde profits, like amazon, he pushes democrat policies, Walmart, they push democrat policies, so why are they huge profit earners which don't reflect that in how much they pay their staff???
The fact is, within both parties, very few actually care about 'helping the people'.
