As is this one, compared to most of the civilized world. The ISS sets an example we absolutely must pay attention to in order to organize the resources necessary for successful manned missions of any kind. If we ignored the full potential of everyone in the world, A: we wouldn't be putting the most qualified people in space & B: we would damage the international economy. Nationalized space programs can do amazing things but they're severely limited by a lack of cooperation with the private & international sectors.

That's true to an extent, I would much rather be an American citizen over a Chinese citizen, we treat people much better than they do, think the same can be said for Russia. A lot of the socialist countries seemed to aimed at weird things as well, like suppression of speech, arresting people for trying to discuss particular issues and ideologies.

What is the ISS? How do you suppose we resolve these issues? Ending corruption seems like a wonderful idea, but how can they be achieved. People are corrupt by nature. Not all people, but most certainly the majority. One thing i like to say, most systems are designed well, whats causes them to go sour is terrible ideologies and corruption. The government systems rely on people to operate them, people tend to be power hungry, greedy and selfish. That is why all systems lack so bad, good people are generally just targets, I know that from experience because I am a good person, and people have always targeted me because they know I will lend trust and be nice, that includes poor people, as I am poor so that's the people I grew up with.

To me, the future of humanity doesn't look that great, I wish there was a way to resolve our issues, sadly the majority of people who end up in positions of power are attracted to those positions because of their hunger of greed and power. Your typical good person just wants to live their life, they don't care too much about ruling over others. You do get some people who actually care, if they don't get sucked into corruption, they generally don't get much accomplished.

I would love an equal wealth system myself, that would work out great for all mankind, the problem is the corrupt will never allow that, and if you start moving in that direction, they will simply take advantage of it to have more power over humanity. Hence, why people like the guy who owns Amazon and the CEO board of Walmart push democrat socialism policies. It isn't because they care about people, they are high profit organizations which could easily pay their employees better and use some of there profits to help people, yet they don't. Shows they are more for power than equality.

Who said anything about blowing stuff up in space, I don't think that is their goal. If they were to have satellite battles, which I doubt but is possible, maybe they would use EM blasts to fry electronics versus blowing up satellites. The sattalites have more to do with surveillance, they aren't going to be equipped with rockets.

India just testing a satellite killing missile, I would be very surprised if the U.S. settled for less than 2 such tests.

I mean, well there you go right there, now why would they want missiles for blowing up satellites? So they can knock out a countries satellites in hopes to drop their defense in a big way as a means of attacking by making them a weaker target. It would be foolish to allow them to do so and we just sit back on the good faith that they will not use that to attack.

Like I said, humanity is screwed, too corrupt and no way to rid the corruption.

I truly think the only way to get out of this is to master space travel and planetary mining, kinda like a star-trek type deal, so all the people whom hate each other can board a ship and head their separate ways, if only we can reach that point before we kill each-other. Of course, the downside is yet again corruption. Imagine china with a ship with a lot of slaves on it, not to single out china, they are just one of many good examples, like the Islamic kingdoms which kill people for being gay, like Saudi, mankind is just screwed. It would be a dream to end all corruption and evil, sadly a dream is all that will ever be.

We need to protect our space borders!
