Henry the 8th was only 56 when he died.

Thomas Wolsey was his “chief minister.” Much more than a Vice President.

Wanna know something else? Abraham Lincoln and Adolf Hitler both had the same birth cards: The Hierophant and Temperance. So wrap your mind around THAT! Oh and Hillary Clinton's birth cards were The Empress and The Hanged Man. So in 2016 it was literally a battle of the sexes to see who would win the seat in the Oval Office. The feminist vs the misanthrope.

It goes to show that people transcend their “birth cards.”

You do realize most people did not live past the age of 50 in those days right?

Many people in the “gentler” classes did live past 50.

King Louis XIV was succeeded by his great-grandson.

Not really, both Lincoln and Hitler had a lot in common. Both were master politicians who practiced abstinence and were great speakers. One was thought of as 'good' and the other as 'evil' by history. Like two sides of the same coin.

Lincoln had a deep moral sense. Do you believe Hitler had one?

I believe HE believed he did. He did what he thought was right for Germany. Not saying he WAS right, but human morals are a very complex thing. Life is a very grey shaded thing. Think about it like this: Yes Hitler commited mass genocide on the Jews and others which is unforgivable, but if it wasn't for the Treaty of Versailles that left the Germans starving and poor then they never would have supported that monster out of desperation and anger. Yes Lincoln freed African Americans from slavery and restored the Union, but in doing so he pretty much destroyed the south and ruined the lives of so many southerners, many who were not even slave owners. He created grudges that to this day have not completely healed in this country. When you get down to it, both men regardless of how they were judged by history had a lot of blood on their hands.

Also Hitler was known to be a vegan and supporter of animal rights. That's kind of what I meant by ‘abstinence’, similar to the belief that Lincoln was "incabable of lying". Both were obviously just part of their little political games though.

Lincoln didn’t want to commit genocide upon Southerners.

He was born a Southerner himself.

He didn’t want to invade the South. He wanted them back in the Union.

He wasn’t Sherman.

He was born in Illinois. That's not a southern state. And I never said he wanted to commit genocide on the south.

Edit: Ok I'm wrong, he was born in Kentucky

Hitler wanted to commit genocide upon Jews and many others.

Lincoln was a politician’s politician....but he was a moral man. He wanted the Southern states back in the Union with few conditions.

Grant was the guy that really was into Radical Reconstruction.

Anyways I think you missed my entire point about the cards for Lincoln and Hitler... The birth cards in tarot have nothing to do with being good or evil (which frankly are terms I don't believe in). They determine the nature of one's personality. Like the zodiac. The Hierophant is a card of knowledge and education but also of religious authority and societal norms. The Temperance is a card of purity, abstinence, and virtue. Both Hitler and Lincoln were bringing changes to their society and religion played a part in why Lincoln thought enslaving people was wrong or why Hitler thought Jews were evil and needed to be wiped out.

But I know you're not going to listen to my thoughts on that out of skepticism. The comparisons through tarot make sense to me, even if they don't to you. I'm not saying Lincoln was evil or defending Hitler.

You believe in your tarot cards. I don’t. That’s what makes the world go round.

People transcend their preordained fate, and their genes.

I see. Touche. I guess I deserve that for being a pompous ass always putting down other people's beliefs. :\

I saw no evidence that Sanders ever lived his philosophy. It's easy to tell others to embrace socialism, trade aspirations of personal success for socially equality while looking down from an Ivory tower with millions to your name. Only a small portion of the US society wanted him, it's no surprise he's out of the race.

I can't see it in any other way other than hypocrisy.

It is like John Lennon's song "Imagine".
Comprehensive analysis of the lyrics seems to suggest virtually every one of his philosophical offerings are actually ofall-ings (I.E. Garbage) when you compare it with his actual lifestyle. 8O
