To quote a character of Stephen King:

"Give me what I want and I'll go away".

ok- what if he IS guilty? does the fact that the law can't touch him or other clever cads make such to be untouchable? are all these women to be summarily dismissed as mere gold diggers, to a person, because none of them had the benefit of a rape kit? in the words of bill maher, “This is 24 accusers over three or four decades — that’s a lot of smoke. You have to look at motivation. What motivation could Beverly Johnson have?” [he asked, referring to the former supermodel who accused Cosby of giving her a drugged cappuccino and attempting to rape her]. “(Johnson) has fame, she has money,” Maher said. “There’s no glamour in saying an old creep forced himself on you.”

You ask, "What if he is guilty?"

If he really did rape even one of those women, no one will ever be able to prove it, and he gets away with an atrocious crime.

Why? Because there is no material evidence to support the claims of the alleged victims.

Why? Because if there ever was any material evidence, it was lost to the alleged victims reluctance to report the alleged crimes.

Any reasonable person would be likely to think that of all of the alleged victims, at least one of them would have gone to the police (or a doctor) and reported the alleged incindent in a timely manner.

But no, none of the alleged victims reported the alleged crimes to anyone who could have done something about it.

So if a woman is ever raped, the perpetrator will get away with the crime if the woman never reports it, if she waits until there is no recoverable evidence, or if she reports the crime after the statute of limitations has expired.

A reasonable person would also take into account the status of the accused and the nature of the times that the alleged crimes occurred during, as well as the sheer number of accusers and their distinct lack of motivation, and maybe decided not to accuse several dozen potential victims of being gold digging liars trying to extort a successful black man. Sadly, reasonable people are in short supply around here these days.

He's only guilty of a crime if there's evidence. I recall there wasn't enough last time I looked it up.

Sucks if he did it, but that's about as good as we can do barring telepathy.

does that mean that if I murdered somebody, that as long as I never get caught that I never committed murder?

WRONG!

He's guilty if he committed the alleged crime. He can be found guilty by a jury of his peers if they examine all of the evidence and testimony in a court of law. This is called a conviction.

Thus, whether or not he is guilty of an alleged crime is moot if there is not enough material evidence to even go to trial. In which case, he will never be convicted of his alleged guilt due to lack of evidence.

I am not friends with the cosby's but I have friends that are friends with the cosby family in Massachusetts.i met bill cosby's daughter when I was 6.my father did meet bill cosby once and said he was arrogant and egotistical.

the friends we know who know the cosby's have impeccable scruples and likely would not be friends with bill cosby if he was a sexual predator.although my friend Martha says she is more friends with Camilla then bill but who knows.
before he died in 1998 Martha's husband was a judge in the northamton, massachusetts court house.im just not seeing a judge not seeing the signs of a rapist when a judge comes in contact with so many sex offenders.

I think he is innocent because the Faison family are impeccable character witnesses

It's easy to fool all of the people all of the time; just don't leave any evidence behind!

Hmm, and I thought that rape was the exception of 'pressumption of innocence' in the PC world, am I wrong to think that Cosby would be in prison right now if he wasn't a celebrity and didn't have much money (a regular poor to middle-class guy), regardless if he is guilty or not?

Yep, you didn't do it insofar as the law is concerned.

That's the secret (don't tell anyone!). :P

You would be wrong, unless you so happen to live in a police state.

Presumption of innocence is universal in criminal law until it's proven you actually did it, which needs tangible evidence.
