What is Putin guilty of that makes him so much worse than than than the Saudi Arabian dictator? I think it's a joke that some are trying to make him out as the next Hitler, Barack Obama has done far more to harm this planet than Putin ever will. There has full blown propaganda war against Russia ever since they gave shelter to Edward Snowden and their refusal to allow an ISIS-backed government to take control of all of Syria. Their actions in Ukraine were reactive and justified, the same with their short war with Georgia some years back, they are provoked into a response and then our people scream that they are being aggressors. People that want war against Russia are the people that are wrong, there is no justifiable reason dredging up the Cold War. I think if Russia and the US can play ball then so can the US and China, I have no interest in neoconservative 'democracy' seeding BS and think the three main powers on this planet can forge better relations by working together on our shared interests.

It doesn't seem like Europe supports this conflict with Russia, France will elect a pro-Russian president one way or another and we'll see what happens in Germany/elsewhere. Do you want to spend the next century fighting Russia or would you rather we work together?

"Keep your friends close, keep your enemies closer." It's worked before. But it's a false dichotomy. America and Russia don't have to be besties to prevent WWIII.

Putin is not Hitler, he is Putin.

If by worked you mean millions of people dying as we waged proxy wars against each other for decades until one of our countries collapsed then maybe you'd have a point. There is a lot before nuclear war that I would like to avoid too, brinkmanship is not a policy for those that value human life. I have no shame in wanting better relations with Russia, they pose zero threat to the US and working with them can only benefit the US.

It just doesn't matter, some people simply do not care about this because the media hasn't fed it to them. All they can do is repeat the nonsense the lying media is pouring out about Russia. No one ever learns. The same media that said Saddam's soldiers were dragging babies out of incubators and leaving them to die on the floor and the same media that said Saddam could blow us all up in 45 minutes, had weapons of mass destruction and was connected to 9/11 via anthrax. I'm glad that some people on here are awake though.

Clinton didn't kill anyone by herself. Fun fact- it takes many people to approve wars and so on. There's worse offenders out there- pick a past president or a long running house or senate member. They are just as guilty of doing a vote as she is, if not more (she's been in D.C a while, but others have had much more time there voting for wars and troops to be sent overseas).

Trump has ties to Russia, even if people refuse to believe so. Trump's cabinet members are part of the "swamp" he claimed he was going to drain- even if people refuse to believe so. I could go on and on- but what I say is either ignored or called a lie. Stop ignoring the facts just to bash Clinton more.

Clinton didn't kill anyone by herself.

Yes, but no one has said she did it by herself.

But take just a moment and pretend you had personal plans for the future of The United States and decided to do something about it.

What's the very first thing you would do??? Let me guess: You would make very sure your secrets would not be divulged to the Press, etc....am I nearly correct?

And in today's era of easily hacked computer systems what would you do to protect your festering secrets???

That would be to set up your own computer system, preferably in your basement, and be able to contact anyone you wished...in secret and contravening (breaking) the laws (wouldn't bother you) of the United States. Why, you could make plans for ruling this country, if you wished, and no one would be the wiser, because you could just delete the offending communications and say they were all for your personal use.....how could anyone prove differently?

And if someone complained loudly you would use your contacts in the CIA (for example) to make sure no one learned the truth...and if they did you could draw on past experience and have the threat eliminated.

The CIA became fully politicized during "the reign" of Bush Senior...he having been the director of the CIA just before his presidency.

And (wild-ass-guessing here) something about the "senior" Bush's actions makes me think this might be true, and still rankles me:

After Obama's election, during the inauguration ceremony, both Bush seniors sat in little thrones...no one had ever done this before...isn't that odd? And they both made a show of wearing "the royal purple" which ( for many who know the history of this color) is a show of royalty...and reserved for royalty.

This is an indicator of how our country has been taken from us by political royalty and how uncaring they are about citizen's opinions and welfare.

What other type would waste 4 million dollars ($4,000,000) to play a round of golf with someone famous, for purely personal reasons...while our disabled, homeless vets eat garbage and sleep in alleys????

This is the true legacy of all of the recent "Princes" of royal politics in the United States. We MUST change this now, as it's doubtful we'll ever have another chance.

Trump's newest pick- Rex Tillerson for secretary of state. Rex is the Exxon Mobil CEO and a good friend of Putin. He got profits from Russia, so of course he will remain friendly with them.

So basically just another rich guy that is for big oil and big money. The greed is strong on this one.

A good friend of Putin you say? Did he tell you so? Did they grow up together...or perhaps they just nip off for a round of golf every once-in a-while? Or are you just puking back out what the Dems and their press have puked out for you?

Instead, using what we know...we see a very smart businessman, rather than U.S. royalty (and all we despise about them) running our country's business in an efficient and effective manner, without any phony saber rattling to affect markets, etc. as our foolish 2-party system does at this time. No wonder there's so much poverty and strife in our country with the usual bottom dwellers in charge.

And I find it very hard not to disparage Hillary because of her proven connections to war and death. With Trump we're already ahead in this regard. In fact I find it hard any citizens of our country can overlook her killing ways, especially now that we have Trump, whose life has ALWAYS been under close scrutiny from the press and others, and can only be accused of being a crude and effective business person and NEVER attached to death and destruction as Hillary is.

In fact, for me, the issue of her bloody past supersedes any butt grabbing or shorting of suppliers by Trump.

JUST WHERE ARE PEOPLE'S PRIORITIES??? HAVE WE BEEN PROPAGANDIZED TO THE EXTENT PEOPLE CAN NO LONGER TELL THE DIFFERENCE? PLEASE SOMEONE....SAVE US.

What more? What has he done so far other than star in The Apprentice? Up to a few weeks ago he was just a private citizen. He doesn't have any history of political wrongdoing.

He's been guilty of housing discrimination, leaving employees and contractors unpaid, union busting, and shenanigans with his so called charities that are outright illegal, just to name a few.

Clinton IS NOT the president-elect, Trump is. So the focus should be on him and his horrible picks. The sad fact that people are still whining over Clinton will distract people from what Trump says and does. I think the obsession with Clinton and her emails needs to stop. Hell.. I think even if Clinton was thrown in prison, people would still blame many many things on her. How about defending Trump without mentioning Clinton? He does many many things not related to Clinton, but the stuff gets ignored at times because "but Clinton did this and that" excuses pop up and derail/disrupt the conversation!

4 years from now (if Trump lasts that long), people will be upset about what Trump and his friends did. But will they blame Trump? Nope, many will blame the democrats and Clinton to no end I bet.

How many people did Hitler, Stalin, Churchill, Roosevelt, Kennedy, LBJ and Pol Pot kill by themselves? Nothing fun about it. Yes, Hillary is just a puppet harlot, at least Trump is fighting the war machine and that's the real reason the mainstream media and co are against him, like they were against Jeremy Corbyn in the UK. The worst crime is to be against war or the path the machine wishes to take. Nothing to do with offending people or making dodgy deals.

Trump has no ties to Russia, you can believe fairy tales all you wish if it makes you feel better. Oh nooooes, he hired some people who work for a bank to work with finances!! ! I know you could go on and on, but best to save me time and energy debunking what you write.

(I am someone who does not support either parties)

There's been an investigation into the voting and Trump got more votes than before  It has nothing to do with investigating wrong doing, they are trying to take him down because of him too anti-war.

They're right though. Obama supported ISIS, Putin is fighting against them.

Having the biggest build up of troops in the area since WWII which now will change could prevent WWIII though. You don't understand how lucky we all might be that Clinton lost.

My most simplistic analysis is that the righties like Putin because the lefties hate Putin and vice versa. Which seems to be pretty much the case regarding many issues.

The conservative establishment is anything but pro Putin.

VP elect Pense hates Putin, and previous GOP nominee Romney always considered Russia our biggest threat. IF you're GOP you're supposed to hate Putin. Thats the party line. The Trump administration is definitely NOT to be thought of as being the same thing as the GOP.

However there is a grassroots faction the American religious right that DOES love Putin, and Russia, and IS very compatible with Trump on that issue.

Parts of the American religious right view Russia as a bulwark against Islam. In the view of some of the religious right its time to forget about the vestiges of the old Cold War because the Russians are no longer atheistic Communists, and its now time to go back even further in time to the age of the Crusades when Christian civilization was fighting off islam. Russia is the eastern outpost of White European Christian civilization. So we need to be their allies in this renewed clash of civilizations- in their view. So yes there IS a splinter of the far right that loves Putin as much as Trump does.

If you look again, you'll see Kraichgauer said the American right. He didn't seem to be excluding that to a particular splinter of the American right.

But I'm curious about this alleged bromance between Trump and Putin. What's it based on outside of anecdotal evidence, innuendo and sensationalism?

Satire from the Borowitz Report Putin Agrees to Receive Intelligence Briefings in Trump’s Place

Quote:
“No offense to Mike, but Vladimir Putin is just a terrific, terrific guy to do this,” he said. “He knows all the players.”

Trump said that, while he was “totally uninterested” in receiving the briefings, Putin appeared to be “extremely interested.”

“He’s just terrific,” he said.

OMG, this scandal is even bigger than we thought!

Image

BREAKING: CIA Confirms Russian Government Killed Harambe

The CIA has concluded in a secret assessment that Russia intervened in killing Harambe the gorilla, according to officials briefed on the matter.

Intelligence agencies have identified individuals with connections to the Russian government who provided WikiLeaks with thousands of hacked emails from the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden and others, including Harambe’s own caretaker, according to U.S. officials. Those officials described the individuals as actors known to the intelligence community and part of a wider Russian operation to boost the nearby Columbus Zoo and Aquarium’s profits.

“It is the assessment of the intelligence community that Russia’s goal here was to favor one zoo over the other,” said a senior U.S. official briefed on an intelligence presentation made to U.S. senators. “That’s the consensus view.”

The Obama administration has been debating for months how to respond to the alleged Russian intrusions, with White House officials concerned about escalating tensions with Moscow and being accused of trying to boost Columbus Zoo’s revenues.

The Trump transition team dismissed the findings in a short statement issued Friday evening. “These are the same people that said Cecil the Lion had teeth of mass destruction. It’s now time to move on and ‘Make Columbus Zoo Great Again,’ ” the statement read.
