My opinion is that most humans have a deep-seated need to feel "superior" to other humans, and will usually jump at the chance, no matter how small, insignificant, or petty, to place themselves "above" other people.

Fat people don't bother me because their being fat affects me in absolutely no way. It. Doesn't. Matter.

Besides, skinny =/= "healthy." Sorry, but if you're "skinny," but you can't do a push-up, or run a mile without getting winded, you are not "healthy" no matter how much your ribs are showing.

I probably broke rules, not sure. I talk "out my door", way too much.

I have severe anger towards certain people (meat eaters who do not 'care') and would like them to feel the just deserts of what they are not experiencing.

That day comes in the form of a heart attack or some other very common ailment. What a weak substitute though for a punishment. In exchange for mutilating and killing another sentient being for the sake of addiction, you get to suffer one little old heart attack. Seems like to me the sentence should be stiffer.

Sure it is natural (it is not artificial meat for instance), but don't fool yourself about us being Carnivores, we are Frugivores.

http://joedubs.com/humans-are-frugivores-fruit-eaters/

We do not make vitamin C internally (most animals do). Cats do make vitamin C internally, so for them it is not a vitamin. Cats do not make taurine internally, but we do, so now it is in reverse. Now taurine is a vitamin for a cat and an internally produced metabolite for us. Both species lost the ability to make an essential metabolite of the body. They were already eating so much of it the genes got turned off. Human Vitamin C from fruits for us and Cat Vitamin Taurine from prey.

As for the Mammoth history, the Paleo diet was actually mostly vegan.

The problem with being fat is that it is associated with many diseases. Diabetes is basically a disease of fat toxicity. Atherosclorosis is caused cholesterol you get from eating meat sloshing around your insides and lodging on the sides of your arteries. Chances are right now you have this disease. Interesting factoid, in ~70% of cases the first sign you have heart disease is the heart attack that kills you.

It is not normal to get big when you get older. That is only "normal" in heavy meat eating societies, which themselves, are unusual. In many cultures throughout time the populations mostly survived off of one or two main carb sources, rice, beans, quinoa, etc.

There is nothing normal about getting fat while getting old. Vegans don't get fat, why is that? Name another species out there that gets degeneratively obese in old age? How about this. What do you think happens when you put a vegitarian species on a meat diet. Surprise, surprise... They get fat, they get sick, they start looking like citizens of the US.

And yeah, it sucks to be fat compared to being skinny. You know this. Come on.

I am a meat eater and I do care. I would prefer it if animals were treated humanely prior to being slaughtered. Just because we kill them doesn't mean we have to be mean about it.

Are you planning on living forever?

I prefer to not fuss about my weight. I think I'm pretty average for my age. What sucks is people trying to make themselves feel superior by judging my life choices.

I could tell you were of a better calibre of conversationalist then the rest of the fold. I agree; that used to be my exact position when I ate meat. Unfortunately, reality does not rub up against that position very well. The "humanist" of animal farms these days are still aweful for a number of reasons.

Nope, but while I am alive, I don't want to be infirmed by a completely preventable disease of my own doing. I don't want to be responsible for helping to pollute the environment of my neighbors and myself. I don't want to cause a bunch of pointless pain and suffering so that I can enjoy my addiction. No thanks.

I do not believe you on the "fuss" part, not one bit. We all do. 'Average for your age', I said that in my 30's when I was 'only' 50 lbs overweight. By the time I was 39 though I did not say that anymore because I was 100 lbs overweight. But hey, maybe you are lucky. There are exceptions out there to all types. The average guy statistically speaking, not so much.

Finally, it only sucks if that superiority has any sting of the truth to it, otherwise, you would laugh it off. Thank you for letting me know the message is getting through and that you are smart and have a moral center... The previous things are my guess as to your own state that I wanted to share with you.

Does it follow the rules to guess another person is secretly morally good?

Disease catches up with everyone eventually. It's the natural way of things. Technically, to die younger saves resources.

I will admit that I have been forced to fuss regarding lactose and gluten because of my health. Both cause me bother. And I do weigh more than is optimal; the medication I take causes that and there's not much I can do short of stopping taking it (with worse results.)

I have nothing against the physically healthy. It's just not in the cards for me. I am not going for longevity. Life's a bit of a pain in the ass and I'm genetically predisposed to cancer anyway. After watching my father fight cancer to the bitter end, I intend, if diagnosed, to go immediately into palliative care.

First I know of a couple of guys who are vegans, strictly for ethical reasons, and they're both on the heavy side. I'm guessing they eat a lot of starch idk.

The other is, a person can extol the wonders of being a vegan without coming off as a condescending jerk towards others. If becoming a vegan means also becoming an uptight alienating supercilious pontificator, that's not going to inspire most to become a vegan.

From a psychological point of view it seems pretty unhealthy, constantly obsessing over food. And getting all upset over meat consumption all the time. Every restaurant and burger joint they see. Every meat product in the store they see. Every commercial and add they see. All upsetting them on a daily basis.

My guess is the reason why people drop being a vegan is because of the the tremendous stress it puts them under. Now the average vegetarian, who just abstains from eating meat and doesn't put much thought into it outside of that, is probably a lot happier and healthier.

You do realize don't you, that severe anger causes heart disease and other ailments? That being angry and stressed all the time destroys a person physically and psychologically?

I quite honestly think you are going to give yourself a stroke or heart attack if you keep that up.

if the grand ju-ju had not intended for us to eat animals, then why did he make them out of meat? that smidgen of facetiousness aside, I don't eat red/white meat because it is expensive. but just try prying the cheddar cheese [room temperature, aged and good n'sharp] outta my hands...

I will say that since vastly reducing my meat intake, I haven't had any more gout.
