It has to compete, for your support, or it doesn't.
But how long is that going to take? Health insurance has already been here a long time, but people have been born, lived, and died, without seeing it getting any better, despite the laws of the free market. It was argued that civil rights would get better on their own for blacks, but that only changed when the federal government made it change. I think it has to be the same with health care and health insurance.
