...You know, I went looking for the New York Daily News and New York Post (which latter you get) to see what kind of front pages they had, as I sometimes do...and the News had nada, on the actual physical paper front page, the Post had a bottom-of-the-front-page headline...Perhaps they went to press later?

politicizing massacres *ON THE DAY THEY HAPPENED* probably isn't as bad as the massacres themselves, but it's pretty tasteless and insensitive. double plus uncool, WAIT A BIT, at least.

:roll: flags fly at top mast all the time, one just needs to leave the house often enough.

maybe it's where you live. the middle school across from where i live flies at half mast really often, more so than some of the other flagpoles i come across. like the one at the high school a spitting distance away from it. i don't think the decision to fly them at half or full mast is centralized.

make the mast shorter and it still has a "top". you might as well ask why we can't reduce the amount of faces in a cube by cutting it in half. they'll still have "middles" to fly the flag from until the mast is shorter than the height ofthe flag.

Mandalay Bay's security policy

I can personally confirm this, being I regularly travel with guns (AR15, Shotgun, Handguns). Hotel security required me to put my long guns in the security staff vault at the MGM Grand. They escorted me to a weapons storage area, inventoried my AR and shotgun, gave me a receipt, and commented that I was probably a 3-gun shooter. Showing the receipt the next morning (while heading to the 3-gun match). They handed me my firearms back, along with escorting me to my rental car.

Now, I was transporting in a large Pelican case so it was obvious... I wouldn't doubt Stephen Paddock broke down the rifles and carried them hidden in his suitcase.

Well, now, it seems, we have ONE question answered: How can an accountant afford those amounts (dollars and frequency-wise) of bets.

Also, in that interview, that I talked-about earlier, with his brother, his brother said that he's (the shooter) always owned his own apartmentS / sold lots of apartments.....

The shooting was at 1:08 AM New York Time. The days of late and afternoon editions are long over.

They have been politicizing national tragedies to push gun control and blast the NRA since RFK was assassinated almost a half century ago. If with a Democratic President and more progressive congress after Sandy Hook they could not pass gun control it ain't happining now. At most in progressive states they will add a few more steps to obtain weapons.
