Rick Santorum is completely tone deaf to the situation & deserves to lose his job next election. Take a look at his tweet suggesting students learn CPR instead of protesting for better gun control laws and the responses he got from others, including a surgeon.

But, then again, he said he was going to repeal & replace Obamacare, and build a wall on the Mexican border and make Mexico pay for it, and revive coal jobs.. so, who knows, it could still be repealed someday.

The fact that I've seen numerous idiots on facebook talking about how we need guns to be able to over-throw the tyrannical government just convinces me further we need better gun regulations. So these people want to over-throw the same government that their beloved Trump is the president of, these same people who complained and boycotted the NFL over the Take a Knee protests are now talking about how they need their assault weapons to fight the government? They are fine with white supremacists and neo-nazis marching and assembling, but they insult teenagers who are protesting gun violence. There is just no consistency with these alt-righter/trump supporter types.


Also though I know I did use the term 'assault rifle' but I think perhaps 'military weapons' would be better... civilians do not need military grade weapons. They can join the military if they want to shoot those kinds of guns, Or perhaps maybe for responsible civilians who are gun enthusiasts there could be an option for a special license to shoot them but then I think they should have to be stored at a secure shooting range/facility while not in use. I do not think these ideas are an 'assualt on the second amendment' I think that would be reasonable. I also think it would be a good idea to create a program to re-imberse people who will have to give up some of the guns they have.

I think most people are referring to military weapons when they say assault rifle. Quite simply guns designed for the military should either not be available to citizens, or only under limited circumstances like what I mentioned earlier. It should be based on what the gun was designed for not how it looks, that might reduce some confusion.

So yeah that is my position maybe some people involved in the movement think an all out gun ban would be better, but seems a lot of people have a similar opinion to mine. So I do support the over-all movement, but I might disagree with some individuals ideas of what the solution is.

The funny thing to me is that there's still such a huge group of Americans who believe the US government has any sort of reason to want to attack them, ever. Do they not realize that they are already voluntary taxpaying slaves to their government and that there's no reason for the government to attack them in order to make them comply? Why would the US government expend tax dollars to reduce it's tax base? Completely counterintuitive & bizarre beyond belief!

David Hogg is incredibly well spoken & points out that gun violence is not a partisan issue, and also that they are not against the 2nd amendment - only for sensible gun control laws that keep firearms out of the hands of violent criminals:

And there you have it. Have no noticed these old "tea party types" are also the ones masquerading in their NRA army attire or walking around with tikki torches. They all think they can hide their identity like the crying fools who were taken in for police questioning after the Charlottesville march and hadtheir names published.

There always a deafening silence from the GOP, NRA whenever there's a minority group who get attacked but see how they rally whenever children protest in schools, socially conscious people try to help immigrants, the environment or their precious weapons of violence. They attack footballers who kneel during the anthem but keep quiet when Trump attacks the family of a dead muslim serviceman or get angry over islam and shariah law threatening christian values but say nothing when a group of black christians get shot in a church.

Yep I'm afraid a large chunk of middle America wear their crudentials proudly on their sleeve. Their version of AMerica is fit in or f off...if you ain't one of us you aint a true american

Yeah its just interesting I mean some of the comments I was seeing on facebook the other day in regards to this were insane. Like a lot of those people were walking a fine line between speaking about a hypothetical need to defend against the government and pretty much outright threatening to start an uprising. I mean those are just the kind of people that probably should not have military grade guns or 'assault rifles'. Like who would they shoot all the government officials, anyone they disagree with them, the teenage protestors? Like who exactly are they going to wage this war against?

Or like those stupid 'don't tread on me' flags, half the people that display that nonsense have no problem treading all over everyone else. I mean I pretty much guarantee if you see that flag on someones pick up truck they have that illegal modification so they can blast a big black cloud of exhaust at anyone they don't like...rolling coal I believe is the term.

But of course everything is a conspiricy to some of them, no way kids are sick of getting shot at school...its gotta be some evil liberal mastermind with an agenda making these kids protest. It can't be of their own accord it must be Hillary meddling behind the shadows brainwashing kids to want to be safe at school.

Some good guesses here.. but it's actually the gay agenda that's pushing for this. It's pretty gay not to want to get shot and killed while attending grade school, so, in an effort to take over the world from the Jews we've amended the gay agenda to include sensible gun control.

Those cultural iconoclasts, just brimming with talent and cultural relevance, Ted Nugent and Frank Stallone (I hope everyone knows I'm being sarcastic), have been attacking the Parkland students on Twitter, recently.

I have very little respect for Ted Nugent. He called Barack Obama a "subhuman mongrel". He was also a supporter of apartheid South Africa.

He's also Donald Trump's biggest supporter along with David Duke and Richard Spencer...no pattern there right
