It was terribly dangerous to let your thoughts wander when you were in any public place or within range of a telescreen. The smallest thing could give you away. A nervous tic, an unconscious look of anxiety, a habit of muttering to yourself—anything that carried with it the suggestion of abnormality, of having something to hide. In any case, to wear an improper expression on your face (to look incredulous when a victory was announced, for example) was itself a punishable offense. There was even a word for it in Newspeak: facecrime, it was called.

The story of the Media's darling Noble Native American Vietnam Veteran harassed by evil smirking racist White Boys is getting filled out. He was a refrigerator technician who never left the US, went AWOL a couple times, has been arrested a few times, etc. In other words, he's a two-bit con man who has probably been making a decent living for a while running a lefty shakedown scam on tourists in DC.

Nathan Phillips – aka- Nathaniel Stanard; Valor Vulture

The story of Nathan Phillips is not much different than the average run of the mill embellishing Valor Vulture that we expose here all the time. Our investigation into Mr. Phillips/Stanard is ongoing.

We do know this much, he is not a Vietnam Veteran, he never left the United States, he was in the Marine Corps Reserves and served a portion of that Reserve Enlistment on active duty. He has no medals or awards for valor and was never a RECON Marine. El Toro, CA is as close as he ever got to the Viet of Nam. He had a problem being AWOL/UA (unauthorized absence) and skyrocketed to the rank of Private.

I think someone claiming they were deployed overseas to Vietnam, when they were stateside, is getting into stolen valor territory.

MAGA hats, the March for Life, Covington Catholic—and the mob.

Of the most culturally deplorable boxes one can check in progressive America in 2019, the boys of Covington Catholic High School have most of them: white, male, Christian, attendees at the annual March for Life in Washington, and wearers of MAGA hats. What’s not to dislike? So when four minutes of video footage emerged online this weekend showing the students appearing to harass a Native American Vietnam veteran named Nathan Phillips, America’s media and cultural elite leapt to judgment.

A short video clip of student Nick Sandmann supposedly “smirking” as Mr. Phillips banged his drum in the student’s face went viral, and instantly the boys of Covington Catholic in Kentucky were branded racists.

Best-selling author Reza Aslan tweeted that the high school junior had a “punchable face.” Former Democratic Party chief Howard Dean opined that Covington Catholic is “a hate factory.” GQ’s Nathaniel Friedman urged people to “Doxx ‘em all,” i.e., make their personal information public.

Meanwhile, mainstream news outlets published misleading accounts of what happened based on incomplete information. And pundits on the right and left rushed to demonstrate their own virtue by trashing high school students as somehow symptomatic of America’s cultural rot in the Age of Trump.

Only it turns out there was a much longer video, nearly two hours, showing that almost everything first reported about the confrontation was false, or at least much more complicated. The boys had been taunted by a group of Black Hebrew Israelites, who shouted racist and homophobic slurs. Far from the boys confronting Mr. Phillips, he confronted them as they were waiting near the Lincoln Memorial for their bus.

It also turns out that Mr. Phillips is not the Vietnam veteran he was reported to be in most stories.

Another dimension to all of this is a big push on the Left to spread anti-Catholic hate. This is in anticipation of Trump possibly nominating a Catholic woman to replace Ginsburg on the Supreme Court.

The Democrats once again return to their roots: their old paramilitary wing, the Ku Klux Klan, was just as anti-Catholic as it was anti-Black.

Maybe people don't like Catholics who try to lobby to get women's right to health care taken away?

We keep forgetting that's why the kids were in Washington in the first place, to go to an anti-woman rally (yes, pro-life is anti-woman because it means you don't think women should have the right to choose whether they have a baby or not).
