I checked the status of any check I'd receive and it says status not available. I then went to FAQ to see what the reasons are for that response and it says if your 2019 taxes aren't filed yet is one reason. Correct: my tax preparer hasn't filed my 2019 taxes yet since the deadline was extended. So...that means no check for me if was getting one then I guess?

If you filed taxes in 2018, you will still get a check automatically.

If you get SSI or SSDI, you will get a check automatically.

It is taking a long time to get the checks out. I could be wrong, but I would not worry about the "status" issue. In my experience, the government software is usually malfunctions in identifying a problem. I have a client who has not gotten his yet and I know he will get one.

You will get some money if you make $99,000 or under as a single person, and $198,000 or under as a married couple.

You will get the full amount if you make $75,000 and under as a single person, and $150,000 or under as a married couple.

Yes, Kortie is correct. I did not include those stipulations.

We kept getting that message ( I've helped my mom and son ), I was putting in the street address and the city/state. When I was supposed to just put the street address and let the zip code below let them know what city/state. When I stopped doing that, it let me through.

I was reading today that the checks are being distributed by increasing AGI increments. The first to be paid were the very low income, and low elderly. This coming week the $30k people should be getting theirs, next week the $40k people and so on. Everyone should be paid by Sept 4th...

I've seen a few patterns, like early filers getting their checks already. My mom is on SSI, she got her check on the 24th. My son is single, makes $25k, has already filed 2019, but they were waiting for some reason. He still hasn't received his... but he doesn't have any dependents. So, I think they must be considering dependents, age, income... some algorithm as to who needs it the fastest, that only makes sense to them.

Just opened today's mail and there was my electric bill and a letter from US Treasury Kansas City,MO.

Yay,I got my Trump check $1200, I am disappointed I didn't get a letter from Trump personally.I had read every check comes with a personal letter from Trump.

But I'm happy with my stimulus money, I file on paper and I don't get tax returns,so I got a check and not a direct deposit. :D :D

So lame that this is being called a trump check and has his name on it as if it’s coming from his money or he authorized it. Blatant election campaign tactic and I hope people aren’t so stupid to not see it for what it is.

What were the Obama checks? Did they have his name on them on the “memo,” line as a re-election campaign?

Obama Phone was popularized during his administration so that’s why his name is on it vs some other president. https://www.obamaphone.com/started-obama-phone-program

Obama care is just a nickname for the Affordable Care Act, and it’s aptly nicknamed such because the entire program’s creation was an Obama project & doing.

Actually, the so-called Obama phone is a Reagan-era program.

The stimulus checks of the Obama era didn’t have his name....and he never claimed credit for them.

Depends on who you ask - as per the link I included and the fact that I said it was popularized during Obama’s presidency. ;)

Ding ding ding. The difference is trump wants his name on the checks so that dumb people are fooled into believing He gave them that money. It’s just another campaign gimmick.

I really hope these are just people who have enough money, you do get the full 1,200 if you make less than 75,000, that's a good chunk of change, why not buy a tiger?
