It seems like by the standards of the far-right crazies disagreeing with them is inherently radical but anything that advances their agenda can't possibly be radical, even if it's literally advocating for a coup or revolution.

If you disagree with them then you hate america! You hate jesus! Theirs is the only true faith! All other interpretations of the Bible and Constitution are heresy! Burn the apostates! Lynch the heretics!!

Tell yourself that you and you alone are on the side of God and the (perfect! Infallible! Divinely inspired!) Constitution then you can rationalize violence of any kind, on any scale.

Who would have guessed that a totalitarian mindset is incompatible with the pluralism required to maintain a democratic society?

The reaction to all this is going to be very important.

Anyone who goes in there all guns blazing will simply be justifying the stream of state-versus-the-people conspiracy theory crap that's been circulating for months. "It's the elite overriding the will of the people with force" they will claim. That'll instantly remove any moral higher ground and make these protestors martyrs.

What this needs is a lot of pepper spray followed by some really long, slow, boring trials. The sort that'll give everyone else a lot of time to reflect on what they've done and how it happened. With the added benefit of everything being evidence based, rather than nonsense pulled out of thin air.

Slippery slope is not a fallacy just because it does not work out every time.

I kept warning that political radicals were gonna lose their minds and stage sociopolitical genocide. We're just seeing the beginnings of the dam holding back the madness of the mob beginning to crack everywhere.

Outside, I am remaining calm and taking deep breaths, but inside, my mind is in a mild panic.

Our broke state and local governments have to somehow find the money protect themselves. Before this we saw the Michigan and Oregon state capitals easily breached and this will inspire copycat insurrections.

Trump tweeted this is what happens when an election is stolen

On the bright side, many Republicans are currently dropping Trump like a bad habit.

Also, anyone with half a brain could see Trump was bad news. His supporters....even worse.

Any of the "centrists" and "moderates" who have tried to defend his nonsense, and repeat the mantra, "both sides are equally bad" should be feeling pretty embarrassed right now. Do you want fascism? Because this is how you get fascism.

If this was an Arab country the news would read "Repressive state guns down innocent "pro-democracy" activists, protesting the recent election - the legitimacy of which has been questioned from many quarters."

More then flashbangs and pepper spray is needed. Like any cancer the longer you wait the more painful and permanently the cure is. We have let the cancer metasize to :nerdy: a degree it is an extensional threat to the American Republic.

It's really only the one quarter
Domestic and international observers have repeatedly scrutinized the election and found no evidence of widespread fraud.
Trump's own judges don't buy this line of bulls***.

The moment these people are asked by these judges for a shred of real evidence they tuck their tail between their legs and flee.

What it's worth, it's displaying in my Firefox.
Yeah, it's weird and possibly something that only affects the Linux version of FF (84.0.1).
Even after bypassing all add-ons it still doesn't display - but displays perfectly in Google Chrome.
I must check how the same Windows version behaves with the same content. :chin:

Ah, I think you're confusing "pro-democracy" with "pro-anti-democratic-coup-by-far-right-narcissist, protesting the recent election - the legitimacy of which has been questioned by extreme right wing conspiracy theorists all pushing their own agenda with no real evidence beneath".

Also your chances of any Arab news room portraying any public protest in either way is virtually nil. Chances are they wouldn't cover it at all, and anyone protesting would quietly disappear. That's how extreme, totalitarian regimes work, by and large. Problem? What problem?

Top marks for unwavering ideological naivety and propaganda-spreading in the face of overwhelming evidence, though.

We may have to make it illegal to be conservative.
