From what I am reading Zelensky has no choice but to accept the support of Azov and other unamed militia who have integrated into the Ukrainian militaty. If you watch the videos I posted by various news agencies there are neo-Nazi mercenaries from overseas also fighting for Ukraine.

I may well be that these militia are crucial in the ground war against the Russians (the Russians haven't exactly learned their mistakes from Afghanistan which was a dismal failure for the Soviets), But I suspect Zelensky may have a problem on his hands when the Russians leave eventually.

So when US, European and other western countries do documentary videos on the rise of the far right in Ukraine is this also Russian propaganda?

Please note, I am not blaming the Ukrainian civilians, this must be horrible for them. But I am wondering why the rest of the world has to suffer for this war and not Yemen or other conflicts involving brown people. That is the title of this thread.

Thats the very point. Western Europe already takes in refugees from the conflicts of the unstable third world. Refugees from wars in the Middleast, and refugees from poverty in subsaharan Africa. So it cant afford four million Europeans suddenly and needlessly being made into refugees by an aggressor within Europe itself on top of that. This new crises hurts the previous waves of brown skinned refugees that you're crying about as well. Putin could just turn the spigot and stop this new flood of refugees in a second any time he wants. No one can similarly instantly shut off the flood of Africans in leaky boats trying to cross the Mediterranean.

There’s atrocities going on in Ukraine as we speak.

Can you imagine the toll in Mariupol once the Russians get out of there????

Sure, there are neo-Nazi groups in Ukraine….and in just about every “western” country.

Don’t make yourself seem like a Russian apologist by overemphasizing the neo-Nazi situation in Ukraine. That’s right up Putin’s alley.

We all must certainly do better with the “nonwhite” folks like in Yemen.

It could be that “racism” plays a role in the seemingly preferential treatment given to Ukrainian refugees over others. More likely, though, its “ethnicism.” Central and Eastern Europeans, especially Slavs, feel a special kinship with each other, and feel Russia is their common enemy.

THIS DOES NOT MEAN WE SHOULDN’T HELP THE UKRAINIANS ANY WAY WE COULD.

We should have done considerably better with such atrocious events as the Rwandan Genocide.

Much bigger problem will be all the trauma from living in basements without food and water, rapes, destruction, terror and death they're experiencing right now.

Nazi-like stuff is going on with Russian soldiers vis-a-vis Ukrainian civilians.

Masses of corpses in the streets don’t lie. You cant photoshop this.

Just like Holocaust scenes. And those of other genocides.

As far as I’m concerned, the pan-Russian idea is behind all this.

We need to see things from Russian eyes as well. It's ignorant not to.

The Russians have been fed propaganda about Ukraine being a Nazi haven, And it's not hard to find evidence of this

I have no doubt the Russian soldiers have been brainwashed to eradicate these elements and they have been given a free reign to kill. Sadly they have already done this.

And the historical Nazis were fed propaganda about how everything bad in the world was a fault of Jews and that Jews were vermin to annihilate while East Europeans were "underpeople" to be subjected.
There's always hate propaganda behind mass atrocities. Putin's war is no exception. I'm just asking you to think twice before repeating it.

Of course, the Russian soldier is fed propaganda....and it's mostly total bs.

It's much more Orwellian than the propaganda from the West.

It's a matter of degrees, really. Let's just say the Western propaganda might rate a 3 or 4-----the propaganda fed to the Russian soldier just might rate a 100.

Nobody is totally immune from the Orwellian thing.....but we must note the CONSEQUENCES of the propaganda on the Russian side: mass Ukranian civilian deaths in the streets. Mass graves dug up. Indicative of the Nazis.

I REALLY wish the mass civilian killings didn't happen. If this was just a "regular" war, the prospects for a quicker peace would have been greater.

I don't know if President Zelensky should win the Nobel Peace Prize-----but I feel he is deserving of some acclaim because of his encouragement of the ongoing stiff resistance to the Russians.

I think Zelensky is guaranteed a Nobel

He's a great guy and everything----but, owing to circumstances well beyond his control, he did not exactly "promote" peace.

Maybe next year-----when he is able to be the catalyst towards enabling his country to begin the healing process.

The gave the Nobel peace prize to Aung San Su Chi in Burma to standing up to the Burmese military, When she became leader she oversaw one of the worst genocides in living history. Since then the Nobel peace prize has been something of a joke, Wasn't Obama given one?

Obama was given the Nobel Peace Prize.....probably mostly for "reputation."
