I'll bet the anti vaxxers are already saying she died because of the covid vaccines and see no connection to her death and the fact that she was 96.

Even though my country is indirectly ruled by the British Monarchy, or something like that, I really have no interest in the Royal Family. I do feel for the constant privacy invasion they get from the stalkerazzi that ended up killing Princess Diana, though. I bet the family can't even go to the bathroom privately, that's just evil.

Yep....Charles III. That makes sense. He's always been known as Charles. It would have been interesting had he chosen Albert, though.

Yes… I feel like that, too. I’ve never known anything different.

I understand what you mean. I didn't think I'd be as upset as I was, but it's because life is changing in Britain too fast. Everything is going wrong and now yet another stable part of British life has gone. What happens now?

Or Arthur. His middle name is Arthur. King Arthur. OMG imagine that!

Hopefully Liz Truss and King Charles III sort this mess out..

I'm not a big royal fan but it's been a bitter day to swallow. I've always respected the queen for being the only figure who managed to be a beacon authority, stability and neutrality all in one.

Didn't really know what she stood for until she died. She stood for nothing but herself and made sure everyone knew she didn't give a s**t about what bickering was happening in the UK and beyon.

I'm more frightened than upset. The Queen has been there all my life, through every crisis, like our mum, never changing. Now she's gone, what's going to happen to Britain? It's all chaos now, it'll get worse. :?

That's what I was worrying about when I meant change.

How very sad. I woke up this morning to find this all over the news. It's even raining outside here, too.

Queen Elizabeth II was the only Head of State I'd known in my whole life until today, the only one my parents had ever known as well. For 70 years she had been a constant presence in all our lives. Quietly in the background and above the daily grind of life and politics, her widespread respect and admiration endured. Even half a world away, she will be missed.

May Elizabeth II rest in peace, and may God Save the new King.
