This just in: Trump whines about a hotel being too hot, he threatens not to pay the bill.

I know Trump supporters will claim this is "nonsense" and "irrelevant" and "media smear' (or whatever else). But the fact that a presidential nominee is this whiny.. isnt a good sign.

I can picture it now: Trump talking to other country leaders, they disagree with him. Then he goes to Twitter and whines, he speaks to the press and whines. The leaders would just laugh and leave I bet.

This is NOT how a potential leader should act.

lol you're seriously complaining about a joke

it doesn't matter what Trump says you'll find a reason to be upset with it

cry more! :P

Was disturbed with Bill Clinton's typically riveting speech last night. Clinton took all those people out of poverty by taking their benefits away. Yes, I know, it forced the "welfare queens" to get jobs, but there were no jobs thanks to Clinton and his NAFTA act. Bill's actions created an impossible situation for people at the bottom in this country. I remember very clearly that he said America would be the source of high technology jobs and everyone here would get more education and get better jobs than the manufacturing ones we lost. That hasn't happened. There aren't enough jobs to sustain everyone. Not everyone can put their lives on hold and go to school. But we all forget about those things as soon as Bill Clinton opens his mouth. It really bothers me.

It also bothers me that the speakers on both sides have been bragging about their middle class upbringing-describing an America that doesn't exist anymore. Jobs and situations that people can't have. Like, thanks for rubbing it in our faces.

Many of the DNC speakers have been saying things that are flatly not true about Trump and the republicans. It kind of sounds to me like both sides are not informed about the changes in the others' party? There are a lot of people who say basically the same things on both sides. Like everyone was saying the same thing about LBGTQ rights, and they all seem to now agree on changing the scheduling of marijuana. Right? Isn't that what they've been saying? And they all want universal healthcare? So it kind of looks to me like some of them are slamming each other for no reason. I wonder if, once all this is over, some of these new moderates on both sides can get more movement going on issues they agree on.

This is called saying lies enough times people will believe it. This has been going on probably since the first politician.

I thought Bill Clinton's speech was fantastic. He showed a side of Hillary that we really don't hear about in the media. His narrative showed her as someone who has fought her entire life to help those who are less fortunate.

And for those of you who say it's not accurate, look up the specific things he talked about. They're facts.

Call me paranoid, but with the current email leak being of Russian (intelligence) origin, coinciding with Trump's call to desert our NATO allies, I have to wonder out loud if there's been collusion between the Trump campaign and Putin. Essentially: help me be President, and I'll let you run wild in Europe.

the email leak came from wikileaks, not russia. The claim that wikileaks' source was russian is not based on anything and is just speculation

Well, then the national media is speculating out loud.

They seem to like doing that.

They're blaming Russia as a distraction from the actual content of the emails, nothing new

corporate media plays defense for the MIC and their chosen candidate Hillary Clinton

I didn't note Bill Clinton to say anything incorrect. It was the minor representatives. Such as saying that the republican party didn't support gay rights. I'm sure some individuals over there still don't support them, but the party in general is now making a point to highlight openly gay conservatives.

An obvious opening they've been ignoring is that the republicans don't want to fund planned parenthood, which they say is basically an abortion factory and body part store. I have been able to determine what's going on with that latter part, so I can't say if that's fair or not. But PP also provides birth control without requiring an exam. Which is a very important service. And STD screenings. So on and so forth. Why aren't they talking about that? If PP goes away, what are young girls and poor women supposed to do?

That's just one thing, there are others.

I just think the DNC could be more effective in their talking points. Expand their platform, debunk some things.

... umm, have you actually *read* the 2016 Republican Party platform?

2016 GOP platform

The platform doesn't mean anything, that is made by old party hacks not the people. Trump is by far the most LGBTQ-friendly candidate in GOP history and has gone out of way to make that point, gay rights have been achieved and acknowledged.

Who picked a rabid anti-gay Republican as his running mate. If that's the most pro LGBT GOP presidential candidate than that just shows how bad the Republicans have been and continue to be on the issue. And gay rights haven't been fully achieved. In 29 states (as of 2014) it's still legal to fire someone just for being gay.

Most states have at-will employment meaning they can fire you for any or no reason at all.

Do you think Trump is a homophobe? Do you think he'll persecute gays? Some of his most prominent supporters are gay!

I don't think he cares one way or the other. But he's shown he's not against pandering to racists and xenophobes so I don't think he's above pandering to homophobes either.

Employers can't fire people for being black or even their party affiliation so why should they allow employers to fire someone based on sexual orientation?
