I agree. When the public would rather believe in space-aliens from the future equipped with microwave lasers instead of well-planned pranks by ordinary humans using ordinary tools, it becomes obvious that not only can they not handle the truth, but they simply don't want to.

I believe in the possibility of Aliens on or visiting earth. I'm pretty sure some real research has been done to answer the questions. I remember a theoretical physicist appearing on a news broadcast claiming they examined a ton of cases and were able to dismiss 95% but it was the 5% that was amazing and from many very credible wittiness's. The reason I am against crop circles is because you would imagine if a super advanced group of beings were here and wanted us to know they could be a lot more crafty than writing patterns in grass or wheat. We do live in an age of disinformation. Disinformation is good for accomplishing 3 things, spreading fear, covering up real conspiracies, and earning money. Say in the example of a real conspiracy being exposed, the way to eliminate it is to produce a lot of disinformation within the same conspiracy with outrageous claims that are easy to disprove.

I have a little more believe in the UFO phenomenon because I have seen something I assume was a UFO. Me and my friend, actually. We where driving to the store, I pointed out to him this thing that looked like a normal star in the sky yet it was slowly moving. He asked what I was talking about then it zipped very quickly. Then on our way back to his house from the store, I saw it again, I told him to look at it, and again it zoomed off. I've seen many shooting stars, this was nothing like and I saw it twice within 15 min, and it did the same thing both times.

I should, however, point out you are distorting what I said. The links I posted (from fairly reputable sources might I add) attribute microwave lasers to high tech new age artists who are keeping their handiwork a secret. The choice of cornfields is an unusual canvass but I guess modern art expresses itself in new ways. Nobody in their right mind would think kids with planks of wood could create these patterns without the help of advanced tech,

So I didn't actually say they are the work of aliens but I did say that "if" aliens or some type of natural phenomenon (like ball lightning plasma) did cause some of the crop patterns we will never know because of the volume of fake artwork.

Why would artists invest all that time and money in making anonymous temporary artwork they can't sell?

Seems that way. I'm not trying to debunk any theories. It's just that none of them make much sense to me. They all have plot holes so to speak.

Not for nothing … they got gullible people all over the world believing in a hoax -- the "Crop Circle" meme is one of the Internet's most popular.

Speaking of one in the arts (I'm a fiction writer, as already stated), I'd rather have my stuff read by droves of people than necessarily get rich.

Given that the supposed "decoded" messages are about as profound as the average cheesy "inspirational" internet meme, and their supposed "predictions" are as ambiguous as a fairground "gypsy" fortune-teller's, I'm with Douglas Adams on this one - the aliens are obviously just spamming and trolling us for the lulz!

I sure hope that none of the hoax circles were accidentally saying something offensive in the aliens' "advanced binary coding", or sending some time-travelling visitor off in the wrong direction!

The reason I disagree with the crop circle theories is because it makes no logical sense how ever you try to spin it other than to suggest it's man made. Think of this strategy, people either creating crop circles or paying for crop circles to be made in order to hype up crop circle theories to sell books and documentaries about crop circles. If it were a means of aliens trying to communicate with us, there are countless other more sophisticated and more direct ways to do so, if they are communicating with each-other, surely they have technology that far surpasses writing in wheat fields. If they are using them for land marks/coordinates, surely they have much more sophisticated technology to do so, even we have far more sophisticated technology do handle all of the above scenarios, thus for it to be Aliens responsible, makes no logical sense at all, it greatly benefits humans though, by the power of producing conspiracy to profit off of.

Besides, if "space aliens" made all of those "crop circles", it is fair to point out some of them use English words. Since the alleged "space-aliens" would seem to understand English, then why mess up some farmers' crops with spurious cryptic symbology to communicate ideas that only those who lack scientific credibility can allegedly "translate".

It's all a hoax, and those who claim it as anything other than a hoax are either profiting from the hoax or they are seeing things that just aren't there.
