The whistleblower is saying that Trump made an offer.

TRUMP released the apparent transcript and there was no offer made.

So, so far, this whistleblower seems to have inaccurate information, which makes sense, since this person did not witness anything, and is relying on rumor-mill information.

I just read the transcript again …
https://www.npr.org/2019/09/25/76405212 ... e-s-leader

Trump says Biden is bragging about potential illegal activity (stopping a prosecutor looking into his son's dealings), and TRUMP asked president Zelenskyy to look into it.

THAT SEEMS TO BE IT ??

Is this illegal?

It looks like you either pulled that out of your you-know-what or you got some disinformation somewhere.

Because of the level of disinformation out there, and the effort it takes to combat it, I ask everyone posting here, before making such an assertion, to either provide the source for their assertion or to make the argument clearly themselves and provide supporting information. It takes much less effort to spread disinformation than it does to fight it, so I ask everyone here to please keep that in mind.

So you reference the transcript, but you fail to point out the relevant point in the whistleblower complaint. And that is very suspicious.

Not to be rude but you talking about disinformation after posting a TYT video is a tad ludicrous.

TYT does not spread disinformation. They are honest reporters. They have a slant, but they generally make sure to get the basic facts right, and if they do get it wrong, they will acknowledge and revise what they said. I have never seen them intentionally spread disinformation.

Let me show you somebody who has a very strong rightward slant and at the same time is very honest and always tries to provide the most accurate information possible, Judge Napolitano of Fox News:

Why not just get your news from the Kardashians? Even as a kid I didn't take that ersatz news channel seriously.

The whistleblower accusation as reported in the media was "Trump made a promise to the president of Ukraine in exchange for investigating Biden".

However, the truth appears to be that there was no promise, and TRUMP merely asked him to look into Biden's admitted potential illegal activity.

I am only trying to know what this is about.

This is speculation before TRUMP released the transcript.

We need to know if the president can ask a foreign leader to investigate potential criminal activity.

I've already given you the fact check showing Biden was not doing illegal activity; the prosecutor he asked to be fired had NOT been conducting corruption investigations and had frozen the investigation into Hunter Biden's company. Sure you can question how Hunter Biden was probably on that board because of his name, but it's part of a wider problem of international business by name recognition that most certainly extends to the Trumps. Anti-corruption activists in Ukraine, the US government, and the EU government all wanted that prosecutor removed. You can see that in the CNN video I posted just a few posts up. The assertion that Biden was trying to do that to protected his son from investigation is wrong. Fact remains, by going against a political opponent and propping up his conspiracy theories, Trump was trying to get Ukraine to aid him in his Presidential campaign.

As for your assertion about the whistleblower accusation regarding Trump making a promise, can you provide a source showing exactly what you're talking about? Before I can argue with your point here, I need you to clarify exactly what you're talking about.

Well, I was just going off of the media.

However, here it is …

In the course of my official duties, I have received information from multiple U.S. Government officials that the President of the United States is using the power of his office to solicit interference from a foreign country in the 2020 U.S. election. This interference includes, among other things, pressuring a foreign country to investigate one of the President's main domestic political rivals. The President' s personal lawyer, Mr. Rudolph Giuliani, is a central figure in this effort. Attorney General Barr appears to be involved as well.

This is why TRUMP happily provided the transcript to show he didn't PRESSURE the president of Ukraine.

He merely asked him to look into a matter that he felt was potentially criminal.

From Joseph Maguire's testimony, who is the acting DNI chief and Trump appointee:

Quote:
Mr. Castro: 02:22:26 Would you say that the whistle blowers complaint is remarkably consistent with the transcript that was released?

Joseph Maguire: 02:22:33 I would say that the whistleblower’s complaint is in alignment with what was released yesterday by the other president.

I had seen this before, but when you brought it up, it took me time to go back and find it.

Nothing you wrote here mentions a "promise" or "offer" Trump made to the President of Ukraine in exchange for dirt on Biden, which is exactly what you referred to and what I was asking you to provide a source for. Don't waste my time playing games.
