How about lost Nixon tapes proving Watergate was a Russian plot to help the Democrats?

Nah. I think H.W.Bush probably stashed them. The FBI should get a Ouija board and question him.
But if it turns out he's guilty and needs to be prosecuted and confined "Who ya gonna call?"

Now he's openly admitting to his crimes at his rallies:

But maybe not admissible in court I dunno.. but still, wtf? Seems real innocent.

He's not admitting to a crime, but stating the fundamental dispute in the case, as seen through his eyes: he's never acknowledged that the ownership of the documents wasn't always his. According to some former White House official (don't ask who; I'm not looking it up), if my recollection serves me right, if, during his time in office, the records laws got mentioned, he would say the laws were not legitimate or inapplicable to whatever document was under discussion. I have zero doubt he will argue this to the death in court.

He's selecting playing cards for his hand and doing it publicly to pull loyalists into his flawed arguments, just like he laid the groundwork for calling the election a fraud.

Um wut?

It doesn't matter if he doesn't think it's a crime to steal classified documents and store them at his golf course. It is. And he admitted to it.

One possible play I could see him making here is that there are crazy strict rules for what can be considered admissible as evidence. He might be able to openly admit to his crimes at rallies, on film, and it might not be admissible in court for some reason or another.

But yeah, he's definitely winding up the crazies in his Q cult and he'll be sure to turn them loose soon enough.. which could be before the end of the year as apparently December is the month when charges might start dropping - after the midterm elections to avoid any appearance of influencing them even though trump isn't running for anything at the moment.

I like how the tough on crime crowd suddenly hate the FBI because they're investigating a crime.

It will never hold up in court as such. I doubt it will even be admissible. I'm not a lawyer, but I do need to know my legal levels of authority for my career, and I do know what evidence is.

And you really need to stop relying on Facebook, MSNBC, et all for news analysis. My rule of thumb is to never rely on video analysis; more difficult to see the tricks and holes.

I'd be happy for Trump to self-incriminate and end this all, but he isn't actually that dumb.

Facebook doesn’t create news or do news analysis. Facebook Watch is just an aggregator that has clips from dozens of sources. Some mainstream media, some independent commentators etc. I can’t be all over the world all the time to witness everything so rely on news to learn of the news.

trump has been self-incriminating for the last few weeks or so. Not sure what evidence rules are exactly, but when the guy is on film talking about the crimes he committed I’d say that’s pretty self-incriminating.

Facts and logic spoil fantasy. This is going to continue for at least two more years. Every day for the next 755 days it's going to be another "this is it, his goose is cooked for sure this time" article.

Facts and logic will spoil your fantasy of trumpty dumpty skating w/o consequences. Fact is that multiple investigations are closing in on him and his lifetime of crime.

He'll keep appealing and trying every delay tactic he can, but the orange dude is gonna be charged with some crimes and his ill gotten gains are going to become the property of the IRS, and maybe NY state etc. He may never see the inside of a jail cell, but there's zero chance he skates on trying to overthrow the US gov't.

755 more days of the same scenario. And that's only if he's not reelected.
