Wut? :?

There are plenty of wealthy countries in the world.. a handful of them in the Middle East. Any number of countries could rebuild Gaza if they chose to. The USA is not the only country with cash or a chequebook. Strange that you think so.

I was not only thinking of monetary resources but nation building experience albeit often bad.

Plenty of other countries with longer histories of doing that, too. This is Also not a case of American exceptionalism.

England
France
Spain

To some extent Russia, China.

Possibly others I'm overlooking at the moment.

But downright bizarre to suggest that the USA, a country that is only 247 years old, is the Only country in the WORLD that could possibly build a nation. :screwy: Get real.

I had no idea about the girl you mentioned last in your post, but it doesn't surprise me. Hamas are terrorists and war criminals, and need to be treated as such.

It makes me mad! not just the girl, a lot of the hostages are foreigners from poor countries like Nepal and Thailand who attended the music festival. I'm not exactly sure what these poor folk did to Palestine

You need to stop equating Hamas to Palestine.

Most people who are dying had nothing to do with the terrorist attacks in any way, shape, or form.

It’s all equally distressing since we’re all human beings.

Equally we should stop equating the consequences for the victims of the HAMAS attack to past actions of the IDF

The girl with Cerbral palsey never deserved to be harmed, what did she do to deserve that?

WTF are you talking about?

Victims are victims no matter which side was responsible. I’m not sure why that is such a challenging concept for some folks.

Nobody has said that anyone deserved to be harmed.

I don't understand this thread.

TP keeps saying she cares about ALL victims.

Other people say they care about victims from one side only.
Then, they suggest TP is the one who's uncaring or racist for taking sides.

What's going on exactly?

I'm so lost I've given up trying to follow the logic from those posters.

I have my suspicions, but I’m trying very hard not to voice them again. :skull:

There’s been horrific suffering in both places. Death is not always instantaneous through shelling just like it wasn’t in Israel, but I don’t want to think about that. In any event, I’d be just as devastated if a family member was killed or maimed in Gaza as Israel.

ALL victims deserve empathy and compassion no matter which side of the fence they call home.

If I didn't know better I'd think there was some kind of vendetta or conspiracy to make you look bad.
I honestly don't think that's what's happening, since you are advocating for all innocent victims.

All I can gather is that people aren't reading what you say.
It's strange because throughout this whole thread, you're saying the same thing repeatedly.

I don't know how a pacifist can be equated with a racist or a terrorist-sympathizer.

I'm just really confused.

Exactly. ^
That's why I said there couldn't be one. I don't think there is.
I'm just really confused how so many educated adults can misinterpret what she's saying.

My posts are not aimed at you, yet strangely yours are aimed at me. Please feel free to share your "suspicions"

It's quite ludicrous to think I want Palestinian children killed (I don't). But I have outlined why Israel was going to respond the way they did. And quite frankly while I don't agree with their methods, I understand the grief and shock all Israelis must be feeling.

Yeah, many responses aren’t being read. Typically, a sentence or two is taken out of context and my research or links aren’t engaged with at all.

Right.

It’s obvious that some of your posts were in response to mine. Also, you’ve quoted many of my posts.

Do you understand the grief and shock that everyone must be feeling?
