I was on the verge of doing something like that in my early twenties. I had a recurring fantasy and intense urge to smash all the windows in a quaint, picturesque shopping district. Luckily I was able to contain and control myself.

I heard it was because all the TVs were on the Joy Behar Show.

I would have guessed a layoff or a bad relationship was the motive.

Right - He can express his anger in OTHER ways. Like the gym or maybe an XBox 360. That is if he doesn't smash his own TV at home first.

I wonder why he did it? That seems pretty strange to me. Maybe he'll need a psychiatric evaluation. Of course, I don't know the other side of the story, so it's hard to conclude. At least he didn't hit people. That would suck to have to pay that much money back to Walmart on top of doing time in prison or wherever. Hopefully he'll figure things out.
