Can anybody see the appeal in this? I sure as heck don't.

No thank you to that burger !

It looks way too much, I guess that that meal will not be sponsored by the british heart foundation ! I feel that the makers of such a burger are trying to sell a product which serves no useful purpose.

Seems odd to me, but I know that there are people out there in this world who like things like that. If it was in a normal portion size it may be nice though (with one burger instead of five).

A heart attack & heartburn with all the convenience of ballpark service!

I would eat it.

I've eaten monstruosities like that in my city in Colombia, there macdonald's broke cause the competence was more much like this for the same price. Mmmmm!! going every 8 days to get those 4.800 calories on top of your table was exciting, even for my northamerican friends... I know it doesn't seem so tasty but for all those calories my instinct will definitely like it (something to eat more like every once in "a while"... (don't read "a WHALE" :P)

As someone on an 800 kcal a day diet, I can feel my arteries clogging up merely reading about it. If I ate that, I wouldn't be allowed to eat for, like, a week.
So much red meat, too...*Shudder* I wouldn't like to see the consumer's "pattie" if you catch my drift!! ! :eew: :eew: :eew:

The appeal is that by creating that monstrosity, the ballpark got free publicity. It is like the New York designer fashion shows where the models wear incredibly strange costumes that look nothing like the real clothing the designers will sell - just something for people to get excited over.

Only if you have to run laps around the field while the ball game is going on.

Somehow, at 4800 calories, I doubt an entire ball-game length's worth of running would work. Perhaps if you ran around the ball park, ran some more, ran all night while waiting for the game the day after, then ran through that game as well, you might come close.

If I was at a ballgame and some dude was behind me eating one of those I'd be very upset. He would be dripping chili and tomato slices and sh*t, most likely onto the back of my shirt, ripping farts and going on and on about how awesome he is.

I can't imagine trying to eat something like that in such close quarters with people inches away from me on all sides and no table or anything to set up shop on. God I would be so frustrated.

There is no appeal whatsoever. Only a glutton would see the appeal.

Originally, my first thought was "well maybe its intended to be eaten by more than one person". Then I saw that it was being served at a ballpark. So, no. This is just sad.

This isn't the first time a huge sandwich was made for public sale. There's the infamous Fool's Gold Loaf sold by a Denver restaurant. It's supposed to feed 8, but Elvis Presley was known to eat 3 in one sitting.
