As it turns out BJ Pikey, senior at North Peniscot highschool was all set to attend his senior trip. However, North Peniscot is not sensitive to the AS experience, and members of the school decided as a last attempt to block BJ from going altogether, to bully him into an Autistic meltdown, (which is what the family had hoped to avoid) and it looks like the bullies win again. I wonder , though if the provocateur who was emotionally abusing this young man will be allowed to go on the trip? In BJ's absence , will there be anyone who fun's themselves to death? Will there be sneaking out and alcohol poisoning? How would the presence of one mother be any more detrimental to the "fun" of the trip than any teachers who would be there? Shouldn't safety be the real concern ?No two kids are even close to the same ...not 24/7,some of us have trouble just getting through an 8 hour day in school which makes some evenings fun. Every community is different, you can drive 50 miles sometimes and be in a foreign land where people don't think anything like the way we think back home. I'm just sayin' "What would it have hurt to just let her go?"
