The father said "to protect him", and the mother said "to protect him and the neighbors". However, I doubt she thinks her son would cause any to anyone.

According to someone else interviewed, the son was simply wandering the neighborhood while looking for a friend ... and those parents have quite a challenge on their hands since there are none available to him. Chaining their son to his bed for one night to keep him from getting shot or arrested might seem terrible, but the young man was not harmed and now maybe he and his parents will be offered some kind of opportunity or help for addressing his loneliness.

Why do you keep posting these disturbing videos about babies dying or child abuse? I think it is spam, and I can't even watch videos on my connection and most Youtubes don't have subtitles.

Consolidate all these into one thread or stop posting.

this is not spam this is the news section and each story is a different case, so it can't be put in one :)

The video was posted July 12, 2007. This is hardly a current news event.

I agree. It just demonstrates an obsession with morbidity and there's no reason to flood the entire forum with it. Enough already. Make your point, if you have one, and move on.

Its almost as if you're trying to make some sort of Post-Modernist Dead Baby joke and it isn't amusing.

As horrible as this sounds, I doubt the parents actually had any intentions of harming their son. There is nothing to indicate he was neglected.

Also keep in mind that in state care, they can "chain", restrain, shackle him, tase him, and lock him in a cell and drug him against his will for minor indiscretions and it's considered legal when they do it.

i'm not making a dead baby joke  theres nothing funny about a baby being abused
in plus it don't have to be current news, if you don't like my post don't read them simple as that.
 and this story was not about a baby. and i bet if this man had autism you wouldn't have a problem.

Look at the forum. Your threads are too large in number, they are becoming spam. Sorry, but no one cares that a couple chained their son to bed 4 years ago. Reporting these threads.

Egads! If I had to live a childhood with parents like that in a trashy house like that I'd probably would've become a mentally ill and lonely adult too!

I hopped over here, and the amount of dead baby, baby abuse, and child abuse threads was disturbing. and then I saw that the majority of them were posted by you. That made me kind of sad. You should think of good things.

anyway, these people are very much not right in doing this.

These parents are sick, they don't seem to be smart at all. They most likely have an I.Q. below 105.
