In New York there was a guy who dropped his cell phone in a toilet at a rest stop. Rest stop toilets are pretty much a toilet over a hole. He was stuck waist deep. I guess its like a big monkey trap. Monkey traps are pretty much a box with something shiney in it, the monkey reaches in and can not get its hand out once it grabs hold of the shiney object.
