when it comes to eating big burgers, I don't try to fit the whole thing in my mouth in one go.

I always smash my burgers prior to eating them. I don't understand why people need to eat extra tall ones. I know I was guilty of eating Big Macs when I was 8 but I've moved down to the McDouble since I was 17.

Oddly enough, my dentist and orthodontist liked my jaw....it dislocates normally to allow me to open wide.

Quote:
TAIWANESE dentists have urged fast food chains to drop over-sized hamburgers from their menus following a growing number of jaw injury cases, a report said.

Patients have developed sore jaws or had difficulties opening their mouths after consuming giant burgers, the China Post quoted professor Hsu Ming-lung of the School of Dentistry at National Yang-Ming University as saying.

Problems can arise when fast-food fans tuck into hamburgers larger than eight centimetres high, Hsu said according to the paper.

A human mouth is designed to gape over objects measuring up to four centimetres, and overextending can hurt the joint between the jawbone and the temporal bone in front of the ears, Hsu said.

Do you have a pic of that burger?
Recently, my family and I had dinner at Hooters, where I ordered an extra beef patty on my cheese burger. The Hooters girls were all amazed I could down the thing, as a single Hooters burger is exceptionally thick.

Do you think we should pride ourselves on our capacity to dislocate our jaw in order to ingest food? =.= Really?
