I am very curious about what was meant by the "one of them" comment made by one of the officers.

I'm fine with the New Orleans PD shooting people on the bridges to quarantine the anarchy and prevent looting and neighboring areas' emergency services from being overwhelmed. They did what they had to do to keep control of the situation without backup.

it's madness. five years later and this city's still being reminded about the hurricane. these days in new orleans you can mark when something occured by saying pre-katrina or post-katrina.
i don't know who's innocent or guilty in this case. The truth may not lie in eyewitness accounts but what truly happened that day.

That was the other shooting, when a group tried to walk over the Mississippi River bridge, to the dry side, and were turned back with gunfire, by people who had running water.

1570 died, mostly of thirst, no water for a week.

This shooting was some people standing on an overpass, there is nothing on an overpass, and no reason to shoot them. Shot for seeking high ground in a flood.

The article says dozens abandoned their posts, it was hundreds, who picked up a new car, looted homes and businesses, and left. They got over the Mississippi Bridge.

1570 died because the 40 foot sheet pilings on the 17th Street Canal were only 20 foot long, but were inspected by the City, Parish, Sewer and Water Board, the Contractor, State Levee Board, and the Corp of Engineers, all who swore they were 40 foot long. All records were sealed by a Federal Judge.

Everyone in Governent is a crook and a murder. That is not just New Orleans, the State and Fed were fully involved, and control the Courts.

Insurance companies were given two years rather than the one in law to pay off, and the banks got to foreclose on a lot of property, for the people had neither home or money, it was a big time rip off, till the housing market crashed, now the banks want a bailout, because what I stole lost value.

British Petroleum bought Minerals Management, and the Coast Guard, now they have bought the local police and government to keep reporters away from the oil disaster, the worst ever, and no reporting allowed.

People were polled two years after Katrina, half said they were leaving, Employment numbers are good in Louisiana, because so many left. Now it is Michoud, where the defective space shuttle tanks were made, Avondale Shipyard, everyone is leaving.

The news gives the story the oil is being stopped, there is 2,000,000 to 4,000,000 barrels in the Gulf, waiting for the hurricane, and it is coming. After the second relief well the blowout in Mexico took ten months to stop. Do not believe the news.

We are in deep Governnent.
