WTF! 8O

Granted it's a DailyMail story, but if it holds any truth it is shocking.

Quote:
Taking a deep drag on his cigarette while resting on the steering wheel of his truck, he looks like a parody of a middle-aged lorry driver.

But the image covers up a much more disturbing truth: At just the tender age of two, Ardi Rizal's health has been so ruined by his 40-a-day habit that he now struggles to move by himself.

Darwin in action, he'll be dead by the time he reaches his teens and therefore won't have the chance to breed. The genes of fitter kids will however be passed on because they'll live.

I whole heartily agree with vanilla slice on this one. But it should be the parents who suffer for making the baby a cigarette fiend.

Tobacco tot topic

I think Ardi's parents wanted their 15 minutes of fame. And they are child abusers. How else did the kid learn to smoke, smoke, smoke that cigarette? The Marlboro man?

Well gee, somebody had to teach that kid how to smoke. mmm... parents perhaps?

Well whatever happens to him, ain't my problem. It's on the parents when his lungs don't when he reaches his teens. Then they'll be a whole lot more he won't be able to do.

This is nothing to do with Darwin. The boy is not genetically unfit to procreate, he's been addicted to a toxic substance in his infancy, no doubt by the adults around him. Nobody is genetically prone to start smoking at two, this is a learned behaviour.

The only reason he is not a "fitter kid" is because he's learned this behaviour from scumbag adults... in this case his parents who DID in fact breed, thus disproving your hypothesis.

I personally find it very offensive to suggest that this boy is proof of Darwinianism, when in fact he is simply a victim of child abuse. Prosecute the parents, but don't blame the child.

Wow seeing a kid that young with a cigarette is disturbing. The kid's parents should be punished for getting him hooked on the tobacco and ruining his developing lungs.

Another sign that these are the End Times. His parents should have him taken away, and they should be denied visiting rights.

This kid's parents should be locked up in separate cells, and the keys thrown away!

As for the child, how reversable/irreversable is lung damage?

Depending on the severity of the lung damage, it could be permanent. But as he's still so young, and is growing, and as lungs constantly recreate themselves, there is hope... if he's immediately taken from these disgusting people, and carefully weaned off the offending substance. If he stopped cold turkey it could cause the onset of asthma etc. But he's so young that it's hard to know what the prognosis is. Youngsters are better able to bounce back from certain things... but it does look like the damage has been very severe.

In MY world the parents would be shot.

But in today's "nicey nicey" liberal world the government might take the child to be raised at public expense, allowing the parents/mother to knock out another dozen babies and treat them the same way.

Look at "OctoMom" in America. The useless woman has already had 14 children at public expense because they were all by invitro-fertilization.

Now she is saying "Oh, gee... I can't afford to feed them because I don't have a job".

Wow. What a surprise.

That kids looks like some kind of godfather style gangster. He's like "yeah f**k you 8)"

But yes it is totally messed up.

Wow, and just listening to the parents excuse. I mean, really, he's two, I kind of doubt that he could do that much. As it stands, he is going to die if they don't act. This sounds sort of like the parents of the 400 pound child who (somehow) didn't know that feeding the child constantly was the reason why it was MASSIVELY obese to the point of being nearly unable to move.
