Reminds me of a news report I read a few years ago where a young person who was hit by a .22 initially though he'd been hit by a paintball because it didn't really hurt or bleed too much. I also had a friend tell me about his uncle getting into a bar fight and subsequently taking 7 .22s to the chest, then returning to work the next day because they didn't do any serious damage. My favorite though is Rich Davis, a pizza delivery man who went on to invent modern Kevlar body armor after being shot during a robbery while delivering pizza in Detroit. Davis was spared serious injury because the .25 automatic he was shot with literally bounced off the bow of his eyeglasses and merely cut the side of his head. He was shot again in the back of the leg as he was running away, though he didn't realize it until it started bleeding at the hospital. He shot 2 of the 3 men who where attacking him with his own .22lr revolver, they survived too. Real manstoppers those .22s...
