Yeah... the antidepressant is called: sleep-well-eat-healthy-workout-every-day.
What's with the pills? Enough already.
I'm not very big on pills, but I have to hold out hope that someday before I die I'll come across something that really works for me, nothing else so far has. The benefit with psychedelics for me has been undeniable, since I've been transformed a couple times taking them. It's like a mental renewal that SSRI's can't touch, and it's not even a daily or even monthly thing. I have never felt whole in my life except during the haze following a dose. Their are some of us whose lives can't be fulfilled by society, so we have to find an alternative route. Wish I wasn't one of them.
Up to about a couple weeks after I joined this site, I did P90X everyday (I had been doing it for a little over a year), while loading trucks in 100 degree plus conditions, eating high protein/low carbs, no drinking or smoking, while maintaining my house for me and my tenants. After that point, I said what is the point and quit my job and working out, and do nothing but play video games drink beer and eat sun flower seeds. Your plan isn't a cure all.
I'm still wondering how a ketamine pill would work. I'm pretty sure their aim isn't to cause a psychedelic experience. I think the experience is what is key. As far as psychedelics go, it works in that way by sensory deprivation, so maybe it depresses the sympathetic nervous system maybe?
