It makes you both wonder about what’s really going on these days in Jackson and thankful that our local police force is on the ball and taking care of business.
Hi-larious!
For every drug runner caught, 20 more make it to the US and their s**t ends up on the streets.
So what's the point of war on drugs anyway? It seems that there's lots of effort, but little results. Cops toot their trumpets every time they seize a truckload of drugs.. meanwhile 20 truckloads passed unnoticed.
We either need results, or we need to give up the endeavor because
it doesn't work. Pick one or the other. Is that so hard to understand?
How do you measure results? That's easy. When the police action makes it so a junkie can't find drugs in their city. That NEVER happens! Anyone who wants to score, in any US city, can do so easily, at any time. One shipment seized by the cops means nothing, because the drug runners will just bring two more shipments to replace the lost one and to satisfy the need.
So again I ask, what's the point?
If I put forth effort at work, but produced zero results, they'd fire me. That's how it should be. Why aren't cops held to the same standard?
