It is really horrible, this guy who founded it was brought up on charges of murder in CA and was found "innocent", now he is shocking kids by remote control and threatening them with knives. They have to wear the shock packs 24/7 and can be shocked at anytime, the voltage is high enough to burn flesh. Here is the article.

The things people can get away with, there isn't any justice in this world.

I can't believe this place is still open. I do hope it will get shutdown. All the people envolved with Judge Rotenberg Center, including the founder and top officials , should be forced to under go the same treatment x10+ in public.

I don't want to read the article but basically is this place for people with mental health issues? IE borderline personality disorder, paranoid schizophrenia?

Where are the parrents? Do the parrents know this is happening to their kids? Do they care?
I think the only way to really shut this place down is with a media event about them , not just an article or two about it.

This is outrageous! That is so unethical! What frustrates me most (especially with the post by "Matt Israel") is that the center cites its own research (which is biased as it is) to give "proof" that their treatment really works. I hope that the people running this place lose their licenses for good and go to jail. Someone can't even do this stuff to prisoners let alone innocent disabled people. This just makes me so mad...why the heck would they still have places like this open? Why would their parents send their own children to this dump?

When I was seven years old I was sent to a facility for "kids with problems" because I was well... a kid with problems.

It was one of the first of it's kind in America. (Mid 1950's)

It was the best year of my life. The people were wonderful and kind and I learned to "break through" my autistic shell and relate to other people.

Many years later in Australia a niece of mine was in a bad way. At five years old she was frightened of all men except her father.
She would still pull down her pants and poop on the living room carpet.

She spent 18 months attending a special school for Autistic children.

I thought her chances of living an independent life were non-existent, but year by year she improved. Today she is married and has a university degree.

I'd like very much for everyone who works for that horrible place to die a slow and extremely painful death at the hands of their victims.
