Legal Aid withdrawal ends Appeals against DWP decisions.

Amongst the other areas to be removed, I noticed that welfare benefits appeals are due to lose the support of legal aid. So, instead of dealing with the base reason why so many people (successfully) appeal against fraudulent and incorrect DWP and ATOS decisions, the Dave New World deigns instead to merely limit the claimants recourse to appeal those decisions.

The proper solution would be to study and independently observe ATOS at work, then using the advice of GENUINE experts in the various fields of health and medicine, restructure the medical testing procedure so that it actually works, remove the clauses which allow ATOS "employees" to ignore any and all medical advice from REAL doctors and specialists who are actually trained in the relevant fields, and refit the testing centres so that they are not a deliberate assault course for the disabled. They should allow ATOS testing software to be analysed for accuracy and fitness-for-purpose, and when it is found to be lacking, scrap it and replace it with a more sensible human-driven system. They should also restructure the testing so it is no longer degrading, humiliating, counter-productive, destructive and harmful to health.

The benefits system is currently undergoing a multi-billion pound overhaul. NOW is the time for the old fraudulent system to be excised like the unpleasant cancer it is, and replaced with something fair and accurate and genuinely helpful. It should be understood that specialists tend to have a fairly good idea of the capabilities of their patients, more so than someone who is basically a half-trained locum for a thinly disguised insurance company.

But instead of using the opportunity to do something good, the ConDems have seen fit to put a stranglehold on the last recourse of the victims of this elaborate scam. I am sorely disappointed. The Big Society grows ever more exclusive. The disabled are to be forced into unsuitable employment, unable to appeal against the ATOS decisions, with no real recourse against their potential employers, because that support is being cut as well.

Dave New World? You sadden me, Mr Cameron. You should know better.

This is typical and so disgusting. The Cameron Regime wants to implement denial quotas to reduce payments but oh, no, people might challenge the denials that are made to satisfy quotas. No problem, just make it impossible for these people to challenge the denials and we save money on both ends! Guess what. Cameron plans to give billions of pounds to Irish banks - I guess austerity monsters must stand together no matter how catastrophic their policies may be for most people.

The motive behind it is to deal with the UK's debt. I don't believe Cameron is cutting things to discriminate against people. I think he is trying to keep the UK from collapsing due to debt.

Yet the same government countenances paying out vast amounts of money to Guantanamo Bay camp "victims" based on unproven allegations of torture, without evidence of wrong-doing. The same government is intent on paying out billions of pounds to the utterly unaccountable EU, who PROVABLY embezzle and waste that money and STILL can't get their accounts signed off 16 years running. The same government that has ring-fenced (I hate these buzzwords.) the Foreign Aid budget to pay money to nations that have fully functioning nuclear programs and huge military establishments, and promised not to charge too much for FOREIGN students to come here whilst expecting indigenous students to pay an uncapped amount. This is also the same government that has reneged on a string of "cast-iron" election pledges (which includes not giving the EU any more control, not charging students the earth, providing more midwives, not getting rid of EMA and not removing Child Benefit, and even providing proper weekly bin collections.). This government has betrayed the electorate at almost every turn, and I see NO evidence that makes me believe that this trap is anything other than a cynical and utterly deliberate attempt to target a section of the population that nobody could give a s**t about (the poor) and another section which is most vulnerable (the disabled.)

Its so simple its almost elegant, and they even have a Royal Wedding to provide cover for anything else unpalatable they want to get in.

By historical standards UK debt is NOTHING!
Debt to GDP has only been lower for 80 of the last 350 years!
In 1945 when the Welfare State was started debt was more than TWICE what it is now!

The claim that there is a debt wall and there is no choice but to ruin lives is a complete and utter lie! It is a fable! It's propaganda! There's no basis at all in truth! None! Zero! Nada! This is an experiment! This is right wing social engineering! It's based on Social Darwinism! They believe they'll create a superior breed of person compared to what would happen without this.
