President Obama outlined the "framework" of a deal with congressional leaders for a temporary extension of the Bush-era tax cuts in all income tax brackets, a compromise that he said would avert the "chilling prospect" of a tax increase next month for all Americans.

Now hopefully he won't back down to Nancy Pelosi's ranting.

I will believe it when I see it passed by both houses in congress and signed by the president. In the meantime, my budget is set up to assume I will pay more in taxes starting in January.

the "deal" is merely total, abject surrender by the gutless dems.

Perhaps the conservatives will finally shut up about this issue now that they got they what they want(in addition to more tax cuts on top of tax cuts). Good luck with that deficit.

Just wait and see though... Things won't improve and in two years they'll wage this fight all over again.

The more I watch things, the more I believe that Obama is one of the best Republican presidents we've ever had.

It's scary to think how much the Right would blow up if there was a real liberal in the White House.

If you think Obama is a Conservative, I'm scared to find out what you consider to be a liberal. Obama caved cause he knew that if he kept it up, he would be committing political suicide.

Ya they fight like crazy in the media, but thats all show like WWF wrestling. There is a plan in place and whoever is president has to follow the orders of big coorperations and big banks. The president is just a figure head.
