Finally the US military is leaving the dark ages! So what if a person is gay? They are still American and therefore would be fighting for America. They're going to be too busy fighting a war to try it on with other soldiers (if that is what people were worried about!).

Its utterly amazing how many gay people DON'T run around raping straights and turning them gay. Its also utterly amazing how SCARED a group of apparently double-hard trained killers are of the possibility that the guy next to them might be gay. It's the height of hubris and arrogance that these p*****s think that gay men might find their terrified homophobic persons vaguely attractive.

If straight soldiers can safely run around and prosecute war without f*****g everything that moves, I'm confident that the gay ones can too.

Although I support lifting the ban on principle, the fact is, a good many of the soldiers serving in the military are the good old boy Southern types, who don't take very kindly to any of dem fa***ts runnin' around hur. So considering that the soldiers in all likelihood won't be as happy as we are to lift the ban, it's not that good of a thing. The ban protected gays in the military in some ways, as strange as it sounds. (Well, not really, but still, they might eventually stop beating the crap out of you if they only suspect you of being gay) Now, no matter how you spin it, there is going to be an issue, ban or no ban. The ban causes issues in and of itself, and we could spend all day listing them. Now lifting the ban can, among other things, open the door for discrimination lawsuits, something we don't think about at first glance. You know the soldiers aren't going to accept this at first. So sure, it's about time, but the military isn't exactly the church. Then again, they don't like gays either.

This one gay guy flat out told me he can't stand the thought of having sex with a straight guy, mainly because they don't know what they are doing in bed. Makes sense to me. And he is about as gay as they come, with a too tight Hello Kitty shirt and a rainbow bandana, along with a furry tail he wears everywhere. And of course, that grin and laugh that only gay guys can do.

it seems the brass n' boots often need to be reminded of who is boss. it is embarrassing that once again, america is dead last [out of the western community of nations] at doing the right thing.

One redneck cracker peckerwood in either the senate or congress (last name Gomert - - same guy who came up with the unsubstantiated terror baby crap) practically begged his colleges to vote to keep Don't Ask Don't tell, claiming that every great nation that had integrated their military with gays had gone down hill. When asked by CNN to back up this claim with historic evidence, the representative said he had to get back to them.

After learning about that I screamed, "That's pretty cool. Hey, my burritos are done. Sweet."

Well, I'm honestly expecting a lot of soldiers refusing to go on another tour of duty, nothing was considered as far as implications. Furthermore, I expect a lot of those people whom leave our armed forces are going to start expressing outrage as soon as they can no longer be prosecuted for actually giving their honest opinion.

Soldiers are not supposed to fraternize with other soldiers of the opposite sex, they shouldn't be allowed to do it with the same sex either it corrodes discipline.

Soldiers must do as they are ordered, or face the consequences.

Why do you think I'm saying a lot of soldiers are going to quit after their tour of duty and then speak out when Obama and the Democrats can't do anything about it then.

Eff 'em. Our country would be better served by soldiers who aren't completely bigoted homophobes.
