Donald Trump to skip 2012 presidential race

Quote:
Donald Trump says he is not running for president, ending weeks of speculation in which he dominated headlines about the 2012 race for the GOP nomination.

The real estate mogul and reality TV star says: "I am not ready to leave the private sector."

His decision comes the day after NBC announced it would continue Trump's show, The Celebrity Apprentice, with or without the real estate mogul as its host.....

Well, that's good. Trump isn't smooth enough to be considered presidential. I think deep down he knows that.

*sarcastic applause*

Perhaps he got what he really wanted: the publicity he needed to keep The Apprentice on the air in one form or another.
But I still call him "The Boss Birther" (for the financial leadership and support he provided to people who believed that Barack
Obama was not really born in the US of A and thus is ineligible to be President of the United States) anymore.

More succinctly, Trump's name is mud.

Thank goodness.

We'd all be screwed one way or another if Trump ended up on the GOP ticket and got elected.

msnbc said that his sudden decision to quit was when a court basicly told him 3 days ago that he had to release all his fincacial information. He is also embroiled in several lawsuits over licenses where he took money from people to build these buildings that were ultimately not his, although the buildings had his name on it...he did not own the buildings...which is basicly fraud. That would have been made right out in the open in a campain as well.

I admit I hadn't heard that reported, though it makes perfect sense. Not only would have Trump lost the election, but his reputation of being such an amazing businessman would have been shattered as he would have been revealed to be just another flimflam man - albeit a very successful one.
