What they call the Srebrenica Massacre is very much misunderstood. For one thing, it didn't take place in Srebrenica at all. It happened mostly in villages outside the town of Zvornik which was significantly to its north.
Right, they were bussed there from the city.

Mladic ordered his forces to move on Zepa to the south while the column of Srebrenica defenders marched north towards Tuzla. This left very few people to engage the column and the Muslims attacked from Tuzla in the north to help the column. Hundreds of prisoners were held by a small handful of troops whilst the Serb forces in the Zvornik area were in danger of collapse.
Source?
I have comprehension problems and am delusional sometimes, but I am being cautious of another post you made about the extreme far right helping the welfare of its citizens. Another question to ask you is what was the official body count was.
The people who were killed were not bused from the town, they were transported from outside town. What happened was that the 28th Infantry Division chose to abandon the town. A column left the town led by the 28th Infantry Division and this included much of the male population and many others who sought protection from the 28th Division. It crossed though RS-run territory to Tuzla to the north.
The last part of the column left about six hours before the Serbian troops entered the town.
The people who were killed were those killed when the column was engaged by small groups of Serbian troops and also prisoners taken from the column. These are the people shot around Zvornik. The head of the column by the way made it to Tuzla. The ABiH attacked from Tuzla to help them. This threatened the Serbs around Zvornik particularly as the main Drina Corps force moved south of Srebrenica towards Zepa. The ICTY established the times of the shootings as more or less coinciding with the period of danger with the RS forces engaging the column and the forces out of Tuzla.
This information is from the ICTY. At the Krstic trial, Krstic who took over the Drina Corps in the middle of the column's journey to Tuzla (it took about six days) was told to direct his activities towards Zepa and Mladic had this the focus of the efforts.
