How far we have fallen. OBL may be dead but he won. We have become the country he wanted us to be.

UBL wanted us to become Muslim Jihadis who stick their arses in the air five times daily and who become Martyrs at the slightest provocation.

Nixon's crimes were always legal because the President has the power to pardon himself.

No he doesn't. He has to leave the office and be pardoned by his successor- this is what Nixon did. He resigned, and his VP then ascended to the presidency and pardoned him.

Under the United States constitution every citizen has the right to be pardoned by the President of the United States. There are no exceptions to this sacred constitutional right. Since the President is a citizen of the United States he has the same constitutional rights as any other citizen. If the President is denied his constitutional rights he in effect becomes a second class citizen and there is no constitutional provision for an under class as as the constitution considers all citizens equal. If a citizen who seeks a pardon happens to also be the President then there is no other person he can go to other than himself. Other citizens when they seek a Presidential pardon do not have to wait for the next President to be sworn in as every citizen has a right to an immediate pardon from the President.

because of the patriot act as a knee jerk reaction to 9/11, kids are getting felt up at the airport and democracy is being replaced by a survelance society and everybody is willing to give up their rights to the war on terror. It is what OBL wanted for the US to no longer be a democracy. Then the US leaders started wars in the mid-east so all muslums would end up hating us. Which is what he wanted.

UBL in several of his t.v. presentations said he wished for Islam to prevail in the United States. I take him at his word. That is what he said he wanted.

UBL did not give a rat's patootie for democracy.

Ok you may have a point on that one, only cause I dont have evidence to prove otherwise. But I still find that we have given up so many of our rights as citizens....such as rights against unlawful search ans seizure without a warent, and this whole domestic spy program run by homeland security has to be uncostituational at some point. You know, Obama said he would end this program in his campain and he actually funded it quite well as well as making it unlawful for citizens to sue the goverment or contracting agents for damages caused by domestic spying and in some cases stalking. All this to fight off a bunch of rougue camel jockies.
If we have come to this...it appears they have won already. We may not be islamic, but we are moring towards an athoritarian state like theirs is....of course, minus the Islam. But what He really wanted was us to cut off our ties with Israel or else he would destroy america one inch at a time...which our goverment is doing to us in a knee jerk reaction to them. Which is probably what he planned.
Because he used to work for the US durring the cold war, so he knows how our government acts and reacts to things.
